Topgun Barbershop Hawaii Kai — Attraction in Honolulu

Booked an appointment for my younger brother through Booksy at 3 pm. Came at 2:45, didn’t get seated till 3:30. Only three barbers so no biggie I understand, but to take someone who walked in after us gives me a bad first impression of this place. There’s a service sheet they ask you to write your name on but they didn’t even glance at it before calling the person after us. When someone finally approached us I told them we had an appointment at 3, by that point it was 3:15. I showed my confirmation through Booksy and the barber says “Oh so sorry but we don’t have notifications on through that booking website so we didn’t see your appointment” yet on my end shows it was confirmed. It seems like they lack a bit of communication in regards to holding appointments so I guess keep that in mind when booking.

At the end of the day my brother is very happy with his haircut and all that matters to me is that he’s happy. But for anyone planning on booking, don’t use Booksy because they will most likely not see it. For the shop, don’t have Booksy as your first option when booking online especially...

This was my first experience at this barbershop. Never been to the other locations. I googled barbershops in the Hawaii Kai area and this location came up to be the highest rated, so I decided to try this location.

Did not have an appointment and desperately needed a cut today, but when I came in, Spencer was gladly able to assist me with a haircut.

Very thorough in asking what I wanted I wanted to do for my hair. I gave as much detail as I could for my cut and Spencer filled in the gaps to solidify and confirm what I wanted.

Very clean shop, organized and the rest of the barbers were very professional in demeanor and friendly in nature.

Being a manager in a customer center focused retail environment for over a decade, seeing nothing but a well executed experiencing from beginning to end, was a breathe of fresh air.

I first walked into Topgun Barbershop without an appointment and was welcomed right away. The service was quick, and they even let my dog, Prince, sit with me while I got my haircut—a big plus in my book.

Spence did an outstanding job. The haircut was every bit as good as (or better than) many I’ve had elsewhere at twice the price. He pays close attention to detail, clearly has had excellent training, and makes the whole experience rewarding.

On top of that, Spence is fun to talk to, and the shop itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere thanks to him and the other barbers. I’ve visited several times now, and each time I leave with a great cut and a smile. The free and easy parking is another bonus that makes coming here hassle-free.
