I recently visited the Aksu Dolphinarium with my two children, where we experienced both the dolphin show and the much-anticipated dolphin swimming session. Here's a detailed breakdown of our experience:
Booking and Prices: Be aware that the prices at Aksu Dolphinarium are on the higher side, which we were prepared for. However, it's important to consider whether the experience justifies the cost.
Dolphin Show: Unfortunately, the dolphin show did not live up to our expectations. It felt overpriced and did not engage my children, who found it mostly boring. They were looking forward to the swimming part so much that they kept asking when the show would end.
Swimming with Dolphins: The highlight was supposed to be swimming with the dolphins, especially since dolphins are my younger daughter’s favorite animals. The booking process was smooth, thanks to a friendly and helpful staff member who also arranged for someone to video our experience. This was a nice touch and appreciated.
However, the experience was marred by the dolphin trainer's lack of patience and friendliness, particularly towards the children. Effective communication is crucial in interactions with animals, especially for first-timers. The trainer failed to provide clear instructions in understandable English, which was essential for us.
Additionally, the water was quite cold, which scared my younger daughter, and the trainer did not do much to make her feel comfortable. This was disappointing, especially considering the emotional and financial investment in such an experience.
Facilities and Animal Welfare: I also observed that the space allocated for the dolphins seems quite constrained and could be larger to provide a better environment for these intelligent creatures.
Additional Attractions and Services: The dolphinarium also houses a small reptile zoo, which was a nice addition and enjoyable to visit. However, like many other services at the dolphinarium, the professionally taken photos were overpriced.
Overall Impression: While the idea of swimming with dolphins can be a magical and unforgettable experience, it heavily depends on the circumstances such as the trainer's behavior, facility conditions, and overall service quality. For a one-time visit, it might be worth considering if you're prepared for the costs and potential issues. However, I hope for future visitors that the staff training and facilities for the animals improve to truly make it a...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit the Aksu Dolphinarium in Kundu, Antalya, and I must say it was an incredible experience. If you find yourself in Antalya, this is definitely a place you don't want to miss.
First and foremost, I was impressed by the cleanliness and safety measures implemented at the dolphinarium. The facilities were well-maintained and appeared to be in excellent condition. It was evident that the staff takes great care in ensuring the comfort and well-being of both the dolphins and the visitors.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the dolphin show. I have seen various shows before, but this one truly stood out. The dolphins showcased their incredible intelligence, agility, and playful nature. The trainers demonstrated an exceptional bond with the dolphins, creating a seamless and awe-inspiring performance. The tricks and stunts performed by the dolphins left me in awe; I had never witnessed anything quite like it.
Although the dolphinarium offers an unforgettable experience, it's worth noting that the ticket prices are slightly higher compared to other attractions in the area. However, considering the unique opportunity to witness such a captivating show, I believe the price is justified. It's an investment in memories that will last a lifetime.
In conclusion, my visit to the Aksu Dolphinarium in Kundu, Antalya was a remarkable experience. The cleanliness, safety, and the exceptional dolphin show left a lasting impression on me. If you're seeking an unforgettable and awe-inspiring adventure, I highly recommend visiting this remarkable place. Prepare to be amazed by the intelligence and beauty of these...
Read moreGood location, it took us a 5 min walk to get there from our hotel. Nice show, the trainer and the dolphins need to work hard to do some tricks they do. Water seems to be clear and it's cold enough. Swimming with dolphins is ok although it's not that long as they promise (we're the group of 4 and they told us we will get around 20 minutes with dolphins, in the end we've been in the water for something like 7 minutes) And after swimming comes the worst part, buying the photos. Photographer took like +170 photos of us, now try to decide and pick like 12 snaps, 3 per person, impossible. Ther's more to that, we been told that price of whole set of snaps plus the album is just for the two person so we need to multiply the digits. We decided that we will get whole package of snaps but only in digital, first offer was outrageous 400 euro !!! 400 euro for +170 raw snaps, cut&paste move and adding it to link, totall madness. After few minutes of bargain price droped to 300 euro after another fee we came to 200 euro and no euro less. Still this's a rip-off, for 200 euro we got a wetransfer link and a dvd 🤣, a dvd these days. For that price they could make an effort and give 1gb memory sticks, even with their logos printed. I believe that for 110 euro ticket they could offer at least some snaps for free or lower the pricetag on digitals, 50 to 100 euro is top what clients should pay for photos. Besides of that it was...
