Read moreI was blessed to visit this beautiful masjid twice once in 2024 and again in 2025 with my wife. The history about the man who rests within this Cami is more impressive than the actual Cami itself (the Cami is very peaceful and wonderful). A beautiful and peaceful place. The entire area is named after Hadhrat Abu Ayyub Al Ansari (r.a). When the prophet (S) made hijrah from Makkah to madinah the camel stopped at the house of Abu Ayyub (r.a) and that is where he was welcomed and stayed at the house of this great companion read the story if you can. Turkey is very blessed to have so many of the companions of the beloved prophet (S) resting in its soil and the Turks have kept there places in a respected way and preserved them with reverence and respect. There is a lot of history in Turkey. Both times I visited I felt safe and found the people kind and hard working. The two unique things I found about Turkey which IMO is unmatched in any other Muslim country 1. The Adhan absolutely wonderful and second to none, and number 2. The masaajid are open to everyone (regardless of faith) as long as you are respectful and dressed decently. The Turkish masaajid always caters for children and many have small outdoor play areas with slides and swings and Also family areas where families can sit down and relax perhaps have a cuppa or a snack. I highly recommend visiting the masaajid in Turkey especially the historic ones like Sultan Eyup, suleymaniye, Aya Sofia kebir Came, Nur Osmaniya, sultan Ahmet (blue mosque), And my favourite Camlica Came on the Asian side the largest...
