This place is amazing, it is run by the municipality. You can rent an umbrella and sun bed each for 100 TL. there is municipality restaurant behind the beach that serves very affordable food and drinks. Beer is 200 TL for example, fries 150 TL, chicken nuggets for 200 TL, Burger for 275 TL, Coke 100 TL. There is a also an ice cream place that sells one top of ice-cream for 50 TL and slushies.
I recommend u buy the beer from a near buy market so u can get it for around 100 Tl but still the prices onthe beach are not ridiculously expensive.
The beach is fairly clean, there are showers and changing rooms. The showers have issues most of them are broken. The sea water is a bit wavey and ice cold. Not suitable for children. And it gets deep after a while. It is pebbley beach not sandy and not that crowded. We came here two days in a row.
Loved everything and every minute of it.. well...
Read moreThere were a lot of people in the afternoon, so I rushed to get a sunbed early in the morning and arrived around 9:30. You can pick and choose where you want to sit at this time, but if you are around smokers, it can make for an annoying beach time... I chose a spot away from a smoking couple, but the Brits were smoking with their whole family right next to my kids and it was a shame to enjoy the beautiful beach. Except that, I loved this beach because there is no a rip-off charge to use a sun-bed. The men-staff come to collect the money after you take a sun-bed. Since they have a good memory, you’d better pay honestly. They will give you a receipt, so keep it. You can take a shower to de-salt before leaving. It's a beautiful place to enjoy the...
Read moreBeach right in Kalkan town, busy harbor, 50m from all kinds of cafes, bars, and cute shops. 50TL for chair, 50TL for umbrella, which is an ok price (they take credit cards, surprising). View of harbor, boats, blue water, usual glorious spectacle of this part of Turkey.
Some things to consider: water is seriously wavy, and deep. there is almost no shallow spot. not a beach for kids. you must dive right in. the beach is all very large rocks, nothing small. hard to walk on even in running shoes. heavy rubber water shoes (or hard rubbery feet) needed WC is across the street (under stairs), 3TL, nothing wrong with that, and although supervised (by a friendly guy), is a terribly smelly place. not dirty, just smelly. the odor is still in my...
