Kalamaki Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Kaş

The Worst meal I've had in Kalkan in my 5 visits to the town, save your money and go elsewhere.

We had heard decent things about Kalamaki and it always looked nice so booked a table for our last night. We were only able to be seated at 9pm which although a bit later than ideal we accepted. When we arrived it took a while to get any drinks (They dont servce Efes and Tuborg only comes in a tiny bottle so you are forced to drink awful Carlsberg, odd when its not exactly local!). My sister ordered the Prawn starter and when it eventually arrived the sundried tomatoes were burnt to a crisp, with a intense charcoal taste. When we mentioned this to the server he came up with some line about how this is how they always come (this wasnt true). Anyway, the mains took an exceptionally long time to come, in that it was 10.30 until they eventually arrived. In the meantime they kept giving us semi stale bread which was hardly a welcome relief. I had the Carbonara which arrived in a puddle of Oil that I had to drench off every mouthful, my partner had the Sweet and Sour chicken which was exceptionally bland and felt like it had been rushed (there was no flavour beyond the sauce). My mum's Vegan burger was incredibly tasteless also, and pretty much every other meal was underwhelming. This coupled with sub standard service meant the whole meal was incredibly dissapointing. Upon collecting the plates I mentioned this to a member of staff who was not bothered. When it came to paying the bill we paid the amount (not planning to give a tip as it was absoloutley awful) and the main host had the cheek to say "any tip for my staff". I was absoloutley staggered he mentioned this given the experience, and this highlighted how out of touch this place seems to be. We had a fantastic evening at Kalamaki Restaurant in Kalkan. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable – friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The rooftop setting is absolutely stunning, offering beautiful views over the harbour, especially at sunset.

The food was exceptional – fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the seafood dishes; the grilled sea bass was perfectly cooked, and the meze selection was a great way to start the meal. The wine list was also well-curated, with some excellent local options.

Kalamaki manages to strike the perfect balance between fine dining and a relaxed, holiday vibe. It’s definitely one of the best meals we’ve had in Kalkan and a place we’ll return to again. Highly recommended for a special...

Öncelikle salı günü için gün içinde sitelerinden randevu talebi oluşturduk, iki seçenek vardı biri 19:30 diğeri 21:00 olmak üzere ve 19:30u seçtik. 10 dakika içerisinde dönüş yapıp o saatte müsaitlik olmadığını en erken 21:45te alabileceklerini söylediler. Bizde geç olacak diye başka bir yere gidip oradan çıktığımızda ertesi gün yani çarşamba günü için rezervasyon oluşturduk. Mekan gerçekten güzel, ama sadece mekan güzel. 6 kişi menüye bakıyoruz, menüleri kapatmamışız ve tartışmaya devam ediyoruz, garson sipariş alabilirim diye geliyor. Karar verenlerden biri yiyecek siparişini söylüyor, diyor ki ben sadece içecek siparişi alıyorum yiyecek siparişini şefin kendisi(?) alıyor. 2 soft içecek ve su söyledik, gitti. Menüleri kapattık, bekledik. Şefin kendisi olduğunu düşündüğümüz kişi geldi, levrek yanında fresh vegetables (menüde sadece yemeğin adının türkçesi var, açıklamalar ingilizce) tam olarak hangi sebze diye sordum. Mevsim sebzeleri diyip kabak brokoli havuç ıspanak??? beybi patates saydı mevsime ait tek şey kabak. ve hepsi 1 (BİR) adet geldi. Baby patates yarımdı hatta, diğer yarısının nerede olduğunu merak etmiyor değilim. Porsiyonu 1395₺ olan kuzu küşleme 4 parmak kadar, bir insanı doyurabilecek kadar bile değil. Porsiyonu 775₺ olan tempura karides 4 adet. Yemekler ne karın doyurdu ne göz anlayacağınız. Yemeklerin küçük porsiyonu ve vasatlığı dışında garsonlar da çok ilginçler. Zorla çalıştırılıyormuş ifadeleri sadece yerli turiste değil yabancı turiste de o şekilde. Yemeğimiz bittikten sonra tatlı menüsü getireyim mi diye soruldu, bir göz atalım dedik. Karar vermemizi bekleyemediler, iki kere sipariş verecek misiniz diye soruldu yaklaşık 5 dakika içesinde. Bir cheesecake 475₺ olduğu ve yorumları da çok iyi olmadığı için istemedik, hesap istedik. Biz hesap yaparken elinde posla gelip adisyonu istedi, işimiz var dedik ikincisini çıkarıp getirdiler. Hesabı ödeyeceğim QR ile diyorum, QR ile alamıyoruz maalesef sistemimizi bozuyor(???) deniyor.
