Luna Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Kaş

We visited Lunar Terrace as a family of four. This was our fourth terrace restaurant experience during our 6-day stay in Kalkan, and sadly, it was the most disappointing.

The starters were very nice and the service started off well. However, the electricity went out just after we ordered our mains. There was no option to delay the food, and we had to eat our main courses in complete darkness, using our phone torches just to see what we were eating. No table lights, candles, or backup lighting were provided. Very disappointing for such an establishment.

When we raised the issue with the staff, their response was quite abrupt and not very understanding. The manager was extremely rude, to our surprise as front of house. While we had no issue paying the bill, it was frustrating not being able to enjoy or even properly see our food with no compassion.

For context, our preference during the trip was Mey Terrace and Kalamaki — both offered a better overall experience.

Just a heads-up for future diners: if there’s a power cut (which can happen and isn’t the restaurant’s fault), be aware that there is no generator or backup lighting — so come prepared and consider...

Хочу оставить искренний и полный отзыв о ресторане Luna в Калкане — одном из лучших гастрономических открытий за последнее время. Уютная терраса с видом, невероятная атмосфера, безупречный сервис с вниманием к каждой детали — начиная с резервации и заканчивая подачей блюд.

Меню не перегружено, но каждое блюдо — шедевр. Я — повар 4 разряда, и могу с уверенностью сказать: эта кухня — на высшем уровне. Шеф — настоящий мастер баланса вкуса, подачи и правильного акцента на продукт.

Мы пробовали: • Утку в вишнёвом соусе на подушке из поленты — нежнейшее мясо с благородной кислинкой и идеально приготовленной кашей. • Кузу перзола в фисташках — нежнейшая баранина на косточке, обжаренная до идеальной текстуры, с тонкой фисташковой корочкой — восторг! • Салат с авокадо и салат с инжиром и сыром — два лёгких, насыщенных вкуса. Гармония ингредиентов в каждом кусочке. • Карпаччо из телятины — свежайшее, тонко нарезанное, тающее во рту. • Два стейка: • один — с хрустящим жареным луком и насыщенным соусом демигляс, • второй — с соусом из шелковицы. Это был космос! Даже те, кто обычно не любит сладкое с мясом — влюбятся. Этот фруктовый акцент подчёркивает вкус мяса и создаёт настоящую симфонию.

I want to share an honest and detailed review of Luna — one of the most delightful gastronomic experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we made our reservation to the last bite, everything was handled with such care, warmth, and professionalism. The terrace ambiance is magical, the staff are attentive, and the service is simply flawless.

The menu isn’t overly extensive — and that’s exactly what makes it brilliant. As a certified chef (Level 4), I can confidently say this kitchen delivers excellence. Every dish is carefully crafted, well-balanced, and executed to perfection.

Here’s what we had: • Duck in cherry sauce on a bed of polenta – tender, juicy, with the perfect hint of acidity and rich creaminess from the polenta. • Lamb chops (Kuzu Pirzola) in pistachio crust – beautifully seared, aromatic, and incredibly flavorful. • Avocado salad and fig salad with cheese – both were fresh, vibrant, and well-composed. • Veal carpaccio – delicate, perfectly sliced, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. • Two steaks: • One topped with crispy fried onions and a deep, savory demi-glace, • The other with a mulberry sauce that blew our minds! Even for someone who usually avoids sweet flavors with meat — this one was unforgettable. The sauce added a fruity touch that didn’t overpower but elevated the whole dish.

What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm Turkish welcome and breathtaking views over Kalkan’s bay. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, making it the perfect spot for a memorable evening.

The food was outstanding – every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. The seafood was especially amazing, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The meze selection was generous and delicious, and the desserts were the perfect sweet ending.

The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they take great pride in what they do.
