5Point Review Activity Duration: One hour (But make it part of a day-long tour of Jebel Jais) Ratings: 8/10 (A must do for thrill seekers) We discussed in our 5-Point Travel Guide of UAE, that this place has a lot to offer for thrill seekers. So it is our duty to review some of the adrenaline-pumping activities available in UAE. So here is a 5-pointer of the Jais Flight in Jebel Jais, UAE, the world's longest and fastest zipline The Good: The Jais Flight is a thrilling and adventurous experience. You will soar through the air at speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour, suspended underneath a cable, in a Superman position. It is the closest you will ever come to flying like a bird. Doing it at an altitude of 1,200m and about 300m from the ground with breathtaking views is a unique experience. The views are amazing. You will get to see the stunning Hajar Mountains, the Persian Gulf, and the city of Ras Al Khaimah from a bird's eye view. The staff are friendly and professional. They will make sure you are safe and comfortable during your flight. Safety standards are top-notch. The Bad: Nothing, only once you are done you wish it lasted for more. You will want to do it again and again. It feels too short. The slots are limited and it can be hard to get a spot if you don't book in advance. (I returned empty-handed twice, once on a weekend and once on a public holiday) The WoW Factor: The Jais Flight is a truly unique experience. It is a great way to see the beauty of Jebel Jais and the surrounding area, and it is sure to get your adrenaline pumping. And the thrill of flying at such high speed. Total WoW Money Matters: The Jais Flight can be expensive. Tickets cost keeps changing on weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and high and low season. Anywhere between AED 250 to 450 (about $70-125) for adults. It is not cheap, but it is worth the price for the thrilling experience and some amazing views. Overall Experience: Overall, the Jais Flight is a thrilling and unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an adrenaline rush. It is also a great way to see Jebel Jais and the surrounding area. Here are some tips for making the most of your Jais Flight experience: Book your tickets in advance, especially if you are traveling during peak season. Club it with other activities like Jais Sledder & some picnic and barbecue in the pristine surroundings. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a camera to capture the amazing views. Be prepared for a thrill and some great fun My Verdict: Come here...
Read moregreat drive up the mountain! The activity is definitely unique. However. I couldn’t help but feel like I was a goat being hurled through to simply get the task done. The customer experience is clearly not a priority. They were making me feel like they were doing me a favor offering me this experience.
I don’t want to sound only negative. The activity is definitely unique and the equipment seems very safe. But the employees could use a lot of training regarding customer service. To be honest I was disappointed.
Upon arrival to the main cabin, it’s chaotic. The employees behind the counter don’t make an effort to be friendly. Despite having a reserved time we had to wait for more than 30 minutes. There is also no air conditioning. You will end up sitting in a very hot room or have the alternative in direct sun with no shade.
The 2 drivers we had both drove in what I would describe as a reckless manner. I should never hear the tires screeching on a mountain road as the driver is trying to take a turn quickly and smiling. Or feel the front tires sliding while in a dirt road. Very disappointing and dangerous. I had to ask him to drive carefully. I feel like management never rides in the buses with them.
And despite having several reviews from ppl complaining about the customer service here on trip advisor I feel like it wasn’t addressed. And to be honest I get it. They have a new and unique experience with too many customers. The company doesn’t care. But it really does take away from the full experience. We’ve done several other activities in Dubai like Skydive Dubai where the service was impeccable. I don’t feel like people need to shouting or rude or not smiling when u request something but just staring at you blankly like they can’t be bothered with your request. The last thing I want to add is the helmets are one size and my friend had a really bad experience because her helmet was too loose and kept slipping forward and obstructing her view throughout...
Read moreJais Flight offers an exhilarating experience that delivers heart-pumping speeds and breathtaking views. From start to finish, it’s a rush of adrenaline as you soar through the air at incredible velocities. The staff is highly professional and well-trained, ensuring all safety protocols are followed so you can focus entirely on the thrill of the ride.
The facilities on site are adequate. Upon arrival, you'll park and then take a shuttle to the launch site. There’s also a shuttle waiting at the landing zone to take you back. When we visited on December 31st, the place was practically empty, so we didn’t have to wait at all, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Tips for the Best Experience:
Get the Video Camera: It’s totally worth it! You’ll want to capture the full experience, and the camera adds an exciting layer to the adventure. Make sure the camera is angled towards your face so you can see the sheer intensity of the ride. Some riders in our group had only their face and the sky in the shot, which didn’t give as much context for the speed. However, others had the camera positioned so that the terrain below was visible—this perspective really gives you a sense of the speed.
Add Extra Weights for a Faster Ride: If you’re after an even quicker and more thrilling experience, ask them to add extra weights. This not only speeds up your ride but also intensifies the overall experience. It’s highly recommended for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fueled adventure.
For the Faint of Heart: If you're not too keen on hanging by a wire over a steep drop for an extended period, the added weights will make your flight quicker.
In all, Jais Flight is an unforgettable, high-speed adventure that’s well worth the visit for anyone seeking a rush!
We wanted to do the Jais sledder also but the attraction has been closed until...
