I rented a car with my wife in Dubai and drove all the way to the Jebel Al Jais zip line parking lot where we took a van to the most awesome zip line in the world! Aside from skydiving over The Palms, this amazing experience in the mountains of UAE are why we came half way around the world! We saw the sunset on our way back and it was fantastic. We needed to get petrol and had to get off of the main highway and not surprisingly, GPS did not show the many road construction and reroutings! I stopped listening to the GPS and just read its map "old school" way and as we ran on reserve looking for a refueling station very late at night, where I was the ONLY American dude with a Filipino wife, quite possibly the only white guy to visit the area that whole year, LOL! We finally found a high end flooring store with a gentleman who spoke English and he directed us to an OPEN petrol station where we refueled and a couple of hours later, made it back to our hotel in Dubai. I was with my family and friends when I went there I went there in the month of December. It temperature was a lot less there and everyone was in there jackets. It's a good spot for barbeque. The roads are still in construction so you can go only to a particular place. After that the roads are blocked. You can go there for a picnic with your family and children. If you are a tourist then I'll definitely recommend you to go there once when you visit Dubai. I'll definitely go there again when I'll visit Dubai.
