Aberdour silver sands beach has been part of my life for many years. Went there as a child and now take my grandchildren there. Simplicity is the key with no fancy dancy stuff and simply lovely clean sandy beach for kids of all ages to play on. There are simple but pleasant food and drink suppliers and bouncy castle with normal playpark for kids as well. Used to be putting and crazy golf but this was not open today so perhaps only high season for this now? Today's only drawback was the smell in the gents toilet , which although appearing clean were absolutely stinking. Considering it wasn't the busiest of days this was a tad disappointing and given that there were no toilet blocks to alleviate smells on view one wonders if the cutbacks are just going a step too far. All in all though this is a little gem of a beach suitable for all families

The Silver Sands Beach at Aberdour, Fife on the East Coast of Scotland is most definitely one of our Country's hidden Gems. I have walked dogs here for the last 35 years, most recently our Cane Corso ( Italian Mastiff (Molloser) ) puppy, Neo, who features in a lot of our reviews 😊, and I can safely say it's one of our most loved walkies. If you feel peckish, there is a fantastic little cafe where you can get some pre-walk carbs or some post walk protein in a variety of delicious forms. It is also on the Fife coastal path which is a much revered route amongst serious walkers.

Its the working class beach provided for people who can't afford to live here. Its actually a decent beach. Big car park..you pay at peak times... and disabled parking right down at the bottom. Can get too busy if the weather is on your side. Big decent Cafe. Free outside unheated shower. In normal times generally a bouncy castle etc. Walk around the headland to see where the posh folk live ( well you would) and the little beach reserved for locals...where parking is impossible. In an ideal world we would all live in Aberdour...in a huge house and stare at the the sea after a meal in the Room with a view restraunt. For the rest of us get the kids to dig sand castles and paddle here if Elie seems too...

This was my first time up to this beach with one of my best friends for some cold water therapy swimming. The scenery surrounding this beach is stunning. The sand is a beautiful colour and very clean and well maintained. It was quiet with a few people walking there dogs but everyone we came across were friendly. There is access to toilets. There's also a dog restricted area and also a dog friendly exercise area on the beach also. The cafe sands at the sea is short walking distance from the beach with delicious food making it the perfect beach to visit any time of the year. One of my new favourite beaches and I will definitely be back. Highly...
