First time at this beautiful, clean, soft sandy beach. Even though it was a perfect day for a picnic, the beach wasn't crowded. As I'm in a wheelchair we weren't sure if we could get to the sand, but the steps were easy to use (nice and big and not steep). There was a very pleasant sea breeze. The scenery was stunning from all angles. Some rock pools for those who wanted to explore. Everyone was very respectful of other beach goers, and lots of smiles and hellos were exchanged. We will definitely be back. Getting back up the steps, my partner had to take the wheelchair and picnic things first, so (stubborn as I am!) I made a slow start up. I had my stick but was struggling a little. The wonderful gentleman who was selling ice cream and hotdogs at the top of the steps very kindly came down and gave me his arm, so I had support making it to the top. The art of chivalry is still very much alive. Both my partner and I were very thankful for his help. We hope he is there next time so we can say hello and buy an ice cream (he had packed up by the time we came back oast in the car). We enjoyed a little look at the harbour after the beach, then popped into the wee craft shop (Cosagach) - have written a separate review for this wonderful wee gem at the top of the harbour. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon. We have some family visiting in July, so we will be taking them to this magical beach for the day.

Great place for family, all DOGS welcome. Havent been for a number of years but wanted to visit again and what a delight it was. There is now an amazing cafe that faces on to the beach, they have excellent staff and the food is brilliant, they also welcome dogs which is great for us a we never go anywhere without our Ben. If your ever near this area, stop and pop in for a bite to eat and just sit back and take in the wonderfu surroundings... we did and we'll be back!!

It's my favourite beach. Plenty of parking and £2 to park all day (take change!). There are toilets, and a cafe, lifeguards, shaded areas, rocky areas, spacious perfect sandy beaches, grassed areas. There were people kayaking in the bay and out of boats. Loads of kids paddling in the water and playing with inflatables. It's popular so yes it was busy but that's just a typical beach on a sunny day!
