My wife and I decided to call in on Saturday 21 December 2024 for a bite to eat and boy were we glad we did. I had the Irish/Ulster fry (Irish fry with soda and potato bread) and she had a pancake. Our server was a lovely, friendly young woman who couldn’t do enough to help us. When the food arrived I was bowled over with the amount of food on my plate and at the same time ready for the challenge 😋. The food was delicious, all washed down with a lovely mug of coffee. I haven’t had a fry as nice as that in many’s a long time so will definitely be making more visits in future. There’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant as well with beautiful background music which adds to the experience. Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic experience. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

After a very early busy morning my wife and I stopped off for Lunch. My wife took a pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup I opted for the Irish fry 2 coffees . Its the wee things that make a meal an experience. Warm friendly but not in your face staff. A cold Belfast day without asking offered a table by a radiator. After placing our order we went to the arts book shop browsed my wife bought 2 stone owls . Our meals arrived on warm plates with very large portions. A beautiful cooked meal lovely warm experience. It was just the hug we needed today . A truly 5 star lunch time

My husband and I visited Belfast and Northern ireland over 2 weeks ago. We were staying in Ballymena we found it unfriendly and judgemental once they heard our southern Ireland accent or saw our Irish car. But we stopped here on the hop on hop off bus tour and it eas so nice people smiled at us we felt so comfortable here. A love girl on the cafe side was so nice to us and spoke to us . It was one of the highlights of our trip to Northern ireland.

Visited recently. It was unclear if it was table service or if you go up to order (maybe both?) - I went to order at the till. Just ordered two drinks initially. One was brought out, the other (a canned drink) took much longer. As I hadn't yet paid I became convinced I'd made some mistake with ordering and hadn't been clear in my order. Eventually a girl brought the drink over and slammed it down on the table and walked off without a word and a foul expression on her face, while I was saying "thank you"!

On my mother's life, I hadn't said anything to them at all (or about them that they could have overheard), not least because I thought it was my error, so this wasn't in response to any rudeness from myself which would be understandable. I had wanted something to eat when the rest of our group arrived but this put me off altogether.

Saying that, it turned out the other girls working there we re pleasant and friendly. Toilet...

I was shocked and very disappointed today. Went to Culturlann McAdam Ó Fiaich for lunch. I had to shout for attention at counter as the girl stood with her back to me on her phone. Then I was handed some filthy, wrinkled, dog-eared menus. Not a word of Irish on the menu, in a so-called Irish Language Centre. Nothing for vegetarians except a non-descript pasta. So I just ordered a coffee and it was like dish-water. To top it all off the men's toilets were filthy. My wife said the same about the women's. I'm not a tourist, but I'm embarrassed to think that tourists will be coming in here...
