Hi. My name is Joseph. I'm residing in the Sparkbrook area. I have been chosen to be your guide. The journey that I'm going to take you on, is a shameful one. And I hope there are members of the community that will share my sentiments.

Great day 1st time we snow boarding as a family why I don't know... but wow it was fantastic. The instructor ... Mark if i recall was absolutely a top man . Great day would highly recommend 👌👍

Ackers is virtually on my doorstep, and I can’t understand why it has taken me so long to go there. Ironically, I visited the site almost 15 years ago when I used to live in Nottingham. I’ve been in Birmingham for 8 years and this is my only second visit to the centre, since I’ve been here. The first was at the end of last month. I was accompanied by my wife and 2 children, and we have only visited for the children who are now smitten by the place. Both times we’ve come, the children have been tobogganing, and they are always thrilled now by the mere mention Ackers. We’ve spoken to the staff and we are all due to enrol for Skiing instruction and lessons. None of us have skied before, so we are really relishing the thought of skiing down the ski slope.

The site caters for all ages, although its more suited to youngsters and has a number of amenities available – ski slope, tobogganing slope, canoeing, outdoor climbing zone and if you fancy just going for a walk/run/cycle, there are some footpath trails which can be enjoyed. In terms of other facilities some light refreshments/snacks and other essentials are available to purchase. There is an indoor area to sit down for consuming snacks and finally. there is plentiful parking outside. The site caters for birthday parties and other social events.

Helpful tip – Always arrive early to avoid the inevitable rush that takes place later on. The staff, guides and instructors are all friendly, knowledgeable, professional and always approachable. They make you feel welcome and at home.

We’ll be back again soon for our skiing lessons, and without exception, can’t wait to...

Excellent staff and great adventure centre.

This place has been around for ever and even though I grew up in the same area, I never really used this place - until now.

This place is the best place to learn to ski/snowboard as it's a small cosy environment, the prices are competitive and most importantly the instructors are absolutely brilliant.

My first day was nerving, but Louis and Paul provided constant reassurance and praise and that really helped the development of my learning. It's not the easiest thing to learn when you're the oldest person in the group, but being told that other older people have learnt made me feel much better and by the end of the day I felt proud that I had learnt a new skill even though not at the speed I had expected. I subsequently booked a Group Lesson and really enjoyed this as Mark was the instructor with only three students and I achieved the level of progress I was seeking by the end of this session.

I have booked further lessons to take me to recreational level and beyond, providing I don't injure myself or get bored.

I would highly recommend this place over Snowdome, Tamworth (even though it's a lot closer to me) because the staff are truly brilliant, you receive the personal touch and it's very cosy.

Keep up the great work and...

Open Day for families so I decided to see what this place was like before I spent my money there and unfortunately the first impression was very poor. The poster about the event clearly stated that there would be food available. I couldn't imagine otherwise because the place opened at 10 to 4 pm so at lunch time. No food. Not even regular packaged sandwiches. Zero. So we arrived hungry and left hungry. No bins so I had to carry crisps and cookies packaging (which we stuffed ourselves with because of hunger) with me! Long queues for each attraction which was to be expected. On the way I didn't meet a single white person except the staff which was very very strange. I see that some people mention that this attraction is located in an unattractive place. I have the same opinion - the district is disgusting: dirt everywhere and people behave wildly. I don't know the price list but I didn't find any attractive activity for us. Want to go climbing we have 2 locations in Birmingham endless climbing walls better than this one wall. Water activities are also better locations in Birmingham to go boating or kayaking. Nothing attractive. Sorry but this place needs renovation and a specific business plan unless your target audience is people who demand little and...
