I took my family here today so they could have a nice time and get to relax with some good food. Unfortunately was ruined by rude waiter who had no manners at all. The food we ordered was not available we were told so we had no. Choice but to order alternative and that tasted dry and bland. Afterwards we found out that they did actually have the food we ordered originally but they didnt bother to tell us. so we Basically were lied to. When we complained, we just got given excuses that the food was stocked after we had placed our order and I noticed the waiters and the male manager smirking and chatting about us to the other waiters. I felt very insulted by this childish and unprofessional behaviour from the manager and staff. I brought my family for a good night out but ended up with food we didn't want, insults from staff and a hefty bill. I would never come here again and will never recommend anyone to waste their time coming here. The atmosphere was like a wedding Hall, kids running around, screaming and out of control, not at all a peaceful or relaxing place to eat in. This was my first and definitely the last visit here. The seating plan was very cramped and uncomfortable. We kept clashing into each other and other customers. Very squashed and not comfortable at all. Small seats, only suitable for children or slim people. Very disappointing
Morning after visit update, two members of my family got food poisoning. One bad, felt sick and bloated, didn't sleep all night due to the food poisoning 🤢
Thankyou for taking the time to reply but I don't see how emailing you is going to help now when you completely disregarded my complaint on the day of the visit. If you really cared about customer satisfaction then you would have delt with this issue there and then, not after reading a negative review. my familys night out was ruined and some ended up ill. The damage has already been done. Nothing you can say or do can change that. I don't want offers of "discount or free meal for next time I visit" because there won't be a next time. My familys health comes first. What you can do going forward is choose your staff wisely. Train them to behave professionally and honestly around customers. Managers also need to deal with customer complaints on the day and insure customers are happy with outcome. Treat every customer with same care and service, not just the regular ones.
I hope you will take my advice on board and improve your services for...
Read moreI visited Fenous Grill for the first time today with my wife after hearing good things about it. Unfortunately i was left disappointed after the visit. Whilst the decor and look of the restaurant is very nice, there were several things that brought our experience down: We waited over 40 minutes for our starter (spicy hummus). Our water and condiments came quickly but waiting this long for a starter which does not take long to prepare/plate was disappointing. Once the main courses arrived (beef burger and mixed grill), I had ordered the spicy fries and was brought normal fries. I mentioned this to the waiter who changed it was took several minutes to do so by which time the fires were lukewarm. My wife had the mixed grill which although had a nice taste, was lukewarm when it came to the our table. Never once did our waiter come to check up on us, and therefore I had to go to the front counter to request more condiments. Tables around us were also commenting on how long they were waiting for food, with the table next to us walking out of the restaurant after having waited 50 minutes and not received any food.
It would have been nice for the lack of staffing in the kithcen to be communicated to us at the start or when we were waiting for food, rather than when we were paying at the end.
Overall, the staff were generally polite, but my wife and I were left feeling underwhelmed with the whole experience. Unfortunately we wont be returning to...
Read moreUp until the day I’d actually had a meal there I’d heard a great deal of positive things about Fenous Grill/ Restaurant. Situated at the less busier end of Coventry Road and has free parking for about 10-15 cars, I would say, it almost has a deceptive appearance. As you enter it’s clean appealing and with its minimalistic African/ Middle Eastern decor, one certainly feels welcomed and attracted. We were warmly welcomed by a staff member and shown to our table. Now about the food. The food was cooked to perfection and what we all loved the most was the size of the portions. Amazingly generous so there was plenty to dig into and share. When I asked one of the staff he confirmed that the food had Somali and Middle Eastern influences. Which was evident in texture and taste. We were a largish party 13 so we ordered two large mixed platters which included Lamb Chops,Chicken Mashwii, Lahm Mashwii, Lamb Kofta, Chicken Kofta, Wings, Shiish Taouk and Shawarma served all served on a bed of seasoned fluffy basmati rice. If you ever visit with 4-5 people just forget everything else, this dish is the perfect meal. A friend of mine had the Grilled Salmon with seasoned rice. He said it was slightly overcooked and dry and could have done with some sauce or some ghee or butter spread over the fish. All in all a pleasant experience and meal with attentive service to match. Most definitely worth a visit, I think you won’t be...
