It's a beautiful park but sadly with Birmingham council not paying the poor Noble bin men and rubbish cleaners their wages after taking 40% of our salaries as taxes, the whole park has become rubbish tip despite local residents trying their best to collect rubbish themselves in and put it in the bags atleast. I'm seriously disappointed with incompetent management of our council, it's very shameful. They take full taxes from us, then terrorise the poor union with job and pay cuts and then don't provided public with rightful service. Council has gone too far 🤧 in not carrying out its duties properly. Children are playing in such unhygienic environment. Is government going to take responsibility if illnesses and plague spreads due to their bad action plans? Rats the size of dogs and cats are running amok and chewing our car wires in the car park.

This park offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and recreation. One of the highlights of Small Heath Park is its picturesque lake, which adds to the park's serene atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls around the lake or simply sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. The park also features well-maintained green areas, perfect for picnics, playing sports, or simply enjoying nature. For families, Small Heath Park offers a children's playground, providing a fun and safe space for kids to play. The park is also dog-friendly, making it a great place to bring your furry friends for a walk.

Lovely for a picnic, was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Plenty of trees to shade us and a swing park to keep the kids happy. It has plenty of space to sit on the grass, a duck pond, a tennis court and a large area of paths to walk around. There are very few dog owners in the area, so the grass is usually dog-muck free, although teenagers and the inconsiderate often forget to pick up their own rubbish. All-in-all a very family friendly and safe place for a nice day out.

Small Heath Park is an absolute gem! It deserves every single one of its five stars and more. This park is simply amazing. From the moment you step foot into its peaceful embrace, you're transported to a world of tranquility and natural beauty.

Families and children are well catered to in Small Heath Park. The well-equipped playgrounds provide endless fun and entertainment for the little ones, while parents can relax on nearby benches, knowing their kids are in safe hands. The open spaces also provide ample room for recreational activities, such as ball games or flying kites.

Another fantastic aspect of this park is its accessibility. Its central location makes it easily reachable for both locals and tourists alike. A both stunning and lovely park with a diverse and thriving community, often, people will go for morning jogs runs and occassionally throughout the day picnics here, the park itself is host to Canada geese, Ducks, and several other forms of wild life.

Beyond the generally picturesque setting, which is strife with trees, a mid size pond centred by island, play area and court; there is a row of takeaways and convenience stores near by.

Locally a Madrasa, Masjid and Gudwara can be found; a fairly famous nearby store which is frequented by many is known as Hajee's Fish and Chips, wonderful, classic and affordable chip shop - Please refer to my review of the restaurant for further information.

This park is vest avoided after dark, although, during the day, it makea for a lovely place to spend some time with the family or friends - A breath of fresh air.

The park is regularly maintained with grass cut often and trees felled and replanted; kept both well and loved by many - A historic park in a historic part of Birmingham, cherished l, loved and well worth a visit.

The park has been viewed on several shows, most notably 'Man like Mobeen'.

Although there has been mixed or negative reviews online, I feel that I am well certified to leave my experience on the park as I have lived just on Tennyson road (right next to the park) previously.

The community here is lovely, humble and down to earth - They care about their health and wellbeing.

Just be respectful, respect the park and the people, do not litter and do not feed the ducks.

On that note, my review to Small Heath Park is concluded.

God bless all who have read my review to and please enjoy this beautiful park.

If my review was of any use, please do not hesitate to leave a thumbs up as it encourages me to make more content...

This is a great park. I lived near it all my life. This year the council have taken 35+ trees and brutally pruned many so much they arnt even trees anymore. The point of a park is to protect natural reserves but they are decimating it. The council believes they can get away with it because this is a poorer area but I know for a fact they are not doing this in the richer more well off neighbourhoods. They are using and abusing small heath park for their personal gain. They claim it's under proper guidelines but they have other agendas. This park is being ravaged and Coventry road aswell. All of the trees are suddenly being deemed dead or an obstruction when they have never shown any signs of such. They are planning to take many more trees. The ironic part is the actual dead or deseased trees remain and it is due to them wanting the disease to spread so they can take eveb more trees. There cruelty is obviously not unnoticed. The community...
