Excellent recreational space for all ages, we regularly use it for the end of our bike rides to the local canals. There is a purpose built play area in multiple areas of the park, along with a skate park, basketball court, fitness area, football and cricket areas and running / walking pathways. Care has been taken in the design and construction of the park and the public definitely uses it well. There are viewpoints with maps of the city skyline which also doubles up as an excellent toboggan slope when the snow hits. There also sits an opportune ice cream can for most of the year in the main play area car park, whose prices have steadily increased, cannot fault their ice cream quality, just be wary if you are taking a few children on a hot day and you get tempted to a whippy ice cream in a waffle cone and realise that card payments are accepted by the van!!!

How could we make the area better? Upkeep is always the major facet of any public grounds which does require a certain budget and timely action. Whilst the park is kept free from litter majority of the time, some swing sets have not been maintained. I agree that the public should look after the area and facilities be used responsibly, but grounds designers and maintainers should install items that can withstand public abuse as they have with 90% of the facilities, as missing items that can be spotted as missing does take away from the...

I have lives around but Oaklands recreational grounds since I was born frequently played on Oaklands Park has a child and considering the amount of money that has been put into this area it is horrible there are two play areas and to skateboard parks basketball court a football pitch the park is quite big and it could be put to a lot more use this is a child's park and I think there should be a lot more children's apparatus and things for them to do there is some exercise equipment and I'm running track I'm not too sure about how long it is and there is a social centre called the Void which doors self defence classes and dancing and Scouts and...

I've been visiting this park for a few years now and it has had some investment over the years which has greatly improved the park. There are 2 playgrounds for the kids suitable for all ages and a skate park. Theres also 2 outdoor gyms with a good variety of equipment. By the entrance on the Coventry rd is a map of the park showing all the different routes you can take and the distances you will walk which I think is a great idea. Theres plenty of space to kick a ball and a football/basketball pitch too. Theres an ongoing issue with litter but that's due to its users as theres adequate bins but sadly you can't make...

We went to Oaklands during weekdays at evening and it was quite .During weekends it remains busy. It has its own free parking area . It is a big ground with large extended and divided space. It consists of two children play areas where you can find slides, swings ,climbing frames, seesaw etc. There are many high and low slopes for balancing. Some gym equipments and couple of swings on every side. Football court and a lovely garden with some nice flowers. I like it for its ample space that does not make it feel like over crowded even if it is busy.

The perfect place for speed walking, jogging, or doing back and forth sprints. There are two children's play areas and some communal exercise equipment for adults. If you're training for a run, there is a start point - after which paths are marked at intervals with distance travelled in meters. There's also chin-up bars, monkey bars, parallel bars, football areas etc. Superb view of the city centre from on high, looking west. Suitable for light cycling too.

Feb half term Bring it on Brum hosted this FREE event. Sun was shining so much for children all ages to do I took 3 Yr old, 7,8 & 10 Yr old. Art n crafts table delicious Indian food. A gaming van with 10 screens, inside the centre they had VR games fifa and more, skate boarding lessons and competition just an amazing dun packed day. The Dj from Mypartypackage (Instagram) was so entertaining kept the good vibes interactions with children second to none.
