The Clumsy Swan — Restaurant in Birmingham

An average pub with rules i can only discribe as a joke .. so i was sitting in with friends having the casual drink after work .. i see a fellow who i know at 10pm walk away from his drink to see a friend to a taxi .. on his return the security blocked re entry stating he was wearing a tracksuit bottoms ..well tho i understand the rules it confuses me this dude bought tonnes of drinks for his buddies and still had his drink at the table they didnt let him in didnt let him even finish his drink poor guy phoned his friends to come outside to say good bye to em im shocked and confused as to why he weren't allowed to even finish his drink ... i saw people in shorts ripped up old work trousers this is a joke to say he wasnt dressed properly i mean its a pub not a broad street night club lmao ... still wont have me or my buddies come back to this place loads of other PUBS that allow casual to comfortable wears oh and yes im talking on behalf of this old friend as he isnt the type to cause bother .. i on the other hand am gonna state the truth of the facts .. on a last note the security and the workers did not warn the guy "if you leave.. you cant return " they let him walk out and lose his drink and his night out (the dude works full time) so this was a rare outting and also your place does not state a dress code in plain view so consider they shock for the guy .. id say avoid such a nasty cold heartedly run place i see 5 more PUBS...

I use to think this place was OK but gone downhill based on last 2 times I've been here.

The smell of drugs especially coming from the toilet on Friday night is clear this place has a drug problem with security there they don't do much so its not taken seriously.

Also Friday night a group chased 2 of my friends down the street and security did not do anything other than make the situation worse my friends are not troublemakers and was done so be some scumbag regulars inside. Absolutely unacceptable.

This place clearly has a poor reputation for the area when it's full of thugs and criminals by looks of it. Bit like The Jockey in Shameless.

They deserve to lose their license and security should be sacked especially when you hire security with limited brain power.

Unless you want a fight or a drug user...

Came here Sunday with my daughter who is mixrace and staff would not serve us and was serving everyone else .... who was white so then wen we asked why they not serve us she starts shouting abuse and being racist and wasn't serving noone black and also I am a white lady with a mixrace child the staff the lady with braces and refused to serve us for no reason so we left to go outside and the staff members came to follow us outside we then startin arguing and I through the chips in her face and instead of being profesional and reporting it too staff she started kicking my head and literally batterd me I'm 58 and I'm disabled she should be sacked iv ended.up in hospital the girl had braces and was bout 22 23 I think tryin to...
