Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Birmingham

The coffee is typical Costa coffee, so don't expect anything good. The white hot chocolate is not very nice at all and definitely doesn't taste like white chocolate and was barely warm. It also left a funny after taste which all 4 of us thought was strange. The hot chocolate is pretty bad too, not hot, not chocolately. It baffles me that Costa are so popular with how bad they are.

Half of the place was closed off too even though they didn't close for another hour and a half. This was a little frustrating as they closed off a big section by the tills so it was a tight squeeze to order with people walking past.

The staff were friendly though which is the reason for the 2 stars. Definitely won't be...

One thing about this store is that they never give what i order. Third time ordering and i’m always sent an alternative, for the love of God if something isn’t available then put it as out of stock and do NOT send an alternative. Maybe at least notify us beforehand? Ordering a cinnamon bun and instead recieving RAISIN pastries? Are you serious? Love coming to have a hot chocolate. It can get quite busy at times but the atmosphere is welcoming and calm. A mixed variety of people enjoy their drinks, ranging from the elderly to the young. They also have free wifi, so when my little girl finishes her baby chino, she can play on her tablet. Some staff are absolutely wonderful, always smiling and willing to listen.
