South Beach, Blyth — Attraction in Blyth

Not too busy, I thoroughly enjoyed playing with my 2 dogs. Weather was good., I would recommend this beach to anyone, from children with their families, to dogs and their owners. At present there are restrictions on which beach you can use when walking your dogs. The smaller to the right is dogs only for the summer months, the beach to the left prohibits dogs, then both beaches open to everyone again in October. The sand is good, always kept clean..... a great place to go on a summer's day when the sky is filled...

I really enjoyed my visit here today. There is plenty of free parking, though it was very busy. There seemed to be a reasonable number of parking spaces for disabled people, too, I think. The beach is easy to access, with a shallow slope of lovely clean sand down to the sea. The fish and chip shop has friendly, efficient service. The chips are good, and they do a toddler fish and chips meal, with a helping of chips and small pieces of batter-coated fish, which the grandchild thought...

I grew up locally and whenever I come back I make a point of going to the beach here. It's a beautiful beach, you can walk really far or find a nice spot to relax, it's a great place to take the dog or the family. The war buildings are also really interesting, if that's your sort of thing. The ice cream nearby is fantastic, as is the chippy. And my new rescue dog loved her...
