RNLI Lytham St Annes Lifeboat Station — Attraction in Borough of Fylde

Popped inside this modern lifeboat station for a quick look round. You can climb a few stairs up to a viewing gallery for a good close-up view of the big state of the art lifeboat and tractor. There's also a small but interesting exhibition with artefacts and info about the history of the local lifeboats and their crews. The two RNLI volunteers in the shop were very welcoming and we had a friendly chat. Some nice stationery, pictures, toys and other gift ideas. Bought a lovely jigsaw puzzle. It's just a couple of minutes walk from the pier and well worth a visit to support...

Realy nice staff but i think they need properly traning on the how to use the till tryed to purchase two products didents have any cash on me so wanted to pay by card after five minutes of fiddling about and there was could do and couldn't take card payments when i asked were the nearest cash line was the just looked at each other and shrugged. I realise but these ladies are voenteers and they do a great job and its realy good of them to give up there free time for such a worthy cause but surely someone should show them how to use the till so they...

Smartl and ready for action, the Lytham St Anne's lifeboat station is situated along the promenade going left from the pier.

You can see the all weather lifeboat that is housed in the station. There is a tractor housed in the station for mobilising the lifeboat too and a D class inshore lifeboat.
