On Monday, June 30th, I went to Thorpe Park. I went with the hope of having a good day. The weather was excellent, but unfortunately it was the worst experience I've had at an amusement park, and I've visited many in several countries over many years. The lack of respect towards customers at Thorpe Park was horrible! A totally abandoned park with no maintenance, it's obvious that it hasn't been painted in years. Then there's the poor customer service. The staff is not trained to serve customers. At 12 I was waiting in line for the Fearless ride. I went to the single ride line. The employee, Oscar, had us waiting for more than 20 minutes on the stairs a few steps away from getting on the ride. He called out "two people" instead of being fairer and letting two singles riders. How come they don't train the employees and use common sense? Terrible!. Then at the Colossus attraction the wait time was 40 minutes on the screen, after 30 minutes of being in line they say through the microphone that the wait changes to more than two hours of wait, how come they don't have 2 cars on this attraction like in the Wave, with so many people only one car on the attraction? In any other park they put at least two cars so people don't have to wait. Then at the Ghost Train attraction, after being there for more than 30 minutes they say the attraction is broken, I got tired of seeing the poor customers leaving the lines disappointed. THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO RESPECT THEIR CUSTOMERS! THIS PARK SHOULD BE CLOSED! NOT...
Read moreVisited on a Tuesday at the end of June. Arrived before park opening and there was already lots of people around. You have to go through security/bag check which can take some time before entering the park. Got straight into the queue for Hyperia, wait ended up being around 40 mins. First time riding Hyperia and it’s definitely up there with the best in the UK. Most of the big rides were advertised as queues of 60 mins plus for most of the day. We did about 7 rides in total, 2 of which were single rider which did help reduce wait time. There was some ride downtime, stealth seemed to have quite a few issues throughout the day. We managed another 2 rides on Hyperia and were lucky enough to get the front row which was by far the best experience. Lots of water bottle filing and sun cream stations around the park which was good to see. Overall we had a great day but didn’t manage to get on everything we wanted. I wouldn’t come at this time of year again due to crowd levels. Dislike that you have to pay £12 for parking on top of the ticket price when you don’t have any other...
Read moreStill busy on a weekday but we got most of the top thrill rides with the Ride Access Pass. Easy train journey from Waterloo ( 40 mins) and the shuttle bus (not free) took about 20 mins to reach the park. Really hot day wish there was more shade queuing up but the rides were so worth it with the Gs. Hyperia, The Swarm, Nemesis Inferno and The Saw fantastic! Loved The Ghost Train too. Did not enjoy Colossus this time, my head really hurt banging from side to side. Overall it...
