Nemesis Inferno, on my rankings is a "Good" Coaster
Nmeesis Inferno opened all the way back in the year 2003 as the parks second Coaster, which really propelled THORPE PARK Resort to the top of the theme park league tables nationally and internationally. Nemesis Inferno is a Bolliger and Mabillard Inverted Coaster, which means you sit in carriages below the track with your legs danging. Bolliger and Mabillard are known as the Rolls Royce of rollercoaser manufactuers due to their silky smooth and utterly thrilling rollercoasters. Nemesis Inferno has a Height of 95ft, a Speed of 47mph,4 Inversions in order of: Vertical Loop, Zero G Roll, Corkscrew, Corkscrew (the 2 corkscrews are interlocking) and a G Force of 4.5G. Now onto the ride experience.
Many people think nemesis inferno is bad because it is constantly being compared to its big sister, Nemesis at Alton Towers which is also a B&M inverted coaster. Nemesis at Alton Towers however, is one of the best rollercoasters in the world and has been for the last 25 years. It is truly an Outstanding rollercoaster and the two dont even come close to each other. However, i believe that if they simply just called it Inferno then it would have been much more highly rated.
The whole area is relatively well themed, with heavy references to a volcano in both music and structure. Once in the station you board the very spacious and comfy trains. This ride uses a Bolliger and Mabillard Old Style OTSR (Over The Shoulder Restraint) which are some of the comfiest in the industry. They allow for good movement and breathing space whilst also not digging into your legs or shoulders. As for the station, it is very well organised and quite well themed, with the NI dispatch theme making your blood pump.
After leaving the station, the ride actually goes through a pre section before the lifthill, which takes you through a "volcano" with smoke, which may or may not be on. This is an excellent addition and adds to the theming of the ride, even if it has little thrills.
Once you have climbed the ifthill and have disengaged from the chain, you begin the descent into the first invrsion, a Vertical Loop, which is suprisingly tight so it provides some amazing forces. Once you have finished that,m you get whipped into a rather underwhelming Zero G Roll, which only provides a smidge of weightlesness. But then the real treat begins. 2 Corkscrews, which are suprisingly snappy and seperated with a helix throw you around . After the final corkscrew, you enter the brake run.
For me, Nemesis Inferno is a good rollercoaster. It is not Outstanding though. The ride can have patches of roughness and some deadspots in intensity and theming. However it is still a very good ride and one of the better ones on the park.
Nemesis Inferno is a "Good" Coaster
Positives: Good music and good theming, which adds to the immersiveness Some good forces on the corkscrews and loop Very comfy restraints and trains Well organised queue line
Negatives: Theming effects, such as smoke is often not on Can have rough spots during the ride A fair few deadspots during the ride

Nemesis Inferno is a B&M Inverted Coaster (You hang below the track) themed around a Volcano reaching a top speed of 47.8 Mph, a maximum height of 95.2 feet, featuring 4 inversions (Loop, Zero G Roll, Interlocking Corkscrews), a total length of 2460ft and a G-force rating of 4.5!
The queues for Nemesis Inferno can get extremely long, however the ride justifies a 90-100 minute wait completely. The queue line is well themed for the most part with live features and plenty of theming and texturing.
It's unfortunate that Nemesis Inferno sits under the shadows of Nemesis at Alton Towers due to the ongoing debate between them. Nemesis Inferno is a lot less forceful, and more rough in comparison to Nemesis which unfortunately wins my heart to Nemesis. Nemesis Inferno is still a fantastic ride nonetheless, and I feel would've done better had it not been been referenced to the...
Read moreNemesis Inferno is Thorpe Park's quality 2003 B&M invert. It's an excellent example of this coaster model with a mostly very smooth ride experience that packs a punch. It has an immersive queue line with a well themed station. The ride ops were dispatching trains at a serious pace yesterday even though the park was pretty dead. One thing I'd say is the station soundtrack plays a bit too loudly, which is the same across the park, so fair play to ride ops for coping with that hour after hour. Nemesis gets overlooked when compared to her big sister in Alton Towers, but I think she holds her own and is the third best coaster in the...
