We visited Wales Millenium Centre in November to watch the UK tour of Wicked. As it was our first time seeing a show in this building we got a little lost trying to find our way to our allocated seats on floor 5. Eventually we found an open door that led to our seats in the upper circle just to be called over by a member of staff who told us that the door we had entered through should of been locked as they were short staffed and that she needed to check our tickets. As we sat down we watched many a bewildered guest come through the unmanned door but as their was so many people entering the upper circle through 3 different entrances the one member of staff was unable to check everyone's ticket before the show. So, as we realised rather worryingly that anyone could of snuck into the show and gone unnoticed. As for the rest of our experience we could see everything that was going on from our seats and the show itself was absolutely wonderful. The seats themselves were quite uncomfortable and we struggled for leg room which I have to admit I did not expect from such a modern theatre. The bar was a little pricey as to be expected at this type of venue and the toilet queue was mayhem during the interval but this didn't put us off completely as we plan to go again next year.

I have been to see a few shows now at the WMC and always enjoy it. It is one of my favourite arts venues. The architecture is beautiful, the seating in the theatre is very comfortable in comparison to other venues and provides a good view, staff are friendly and it just has a nice vibe to it. I went to the Llais festival and had a wonderful day listening to different talks, music, immersive art installations and wandering round the exhibits. Lovely to see a real eclectic mix of music too, with soul/rap, Welsh male voice choir, orchestral and indie. The Death songbook with the Paraorchestra, Charles Hazlewood, Brett Anderson and Gwenno was brilliant although a little short (the audience clearly wanted more!). We prebooked parking in the Q park next to the venue which made it extremely easy to park up and scan our ticket. Will definitely go back, love it. Toilets at the venue were lovely and clean. A couple of coffee shop/bars in the venue. The vegan mixed berry muffins in one of the cafes were delicious.

The Wales Millennium Centre is the new centre of the bay developments in Cardiff. It's beautifully designed and really convenient to use. It's the only true opera house in Wales, but it also hosts theatre and other events. There's a selection of bars and gift shops too. The main theatre is great, it has clear views and comfortable seats. The rest of the interior of the building is as large and airy, it has some fantastic interior balconies on the upper floors that are quite vertigo inducing if you lean over them. The poetry on the front of the building double as windows which create endless interesting viewpoints out of the building. The lobby is also host to other events. Sometimes bands play, sometimes there's art exhibitions... It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the bay, even if you're not seeing a performance. There are even tours available for those that want to see behind the scenes. I've done one, it was pretty good fun.

We visited the Wales Millennium Centre for the showing of Wicked! The venue staff are very friendly and helpful. The accessibility for all people is well planned out! There is plenty of seating in the foyer and a lovely gift shop as well as a lovely cafe! The box office staff and helpful and accommodating to everyone and their needs! The venue is very clean and tidy and un cluttered! The venue was lit up Green for the show as you can see in the pictures! The seating arrangements in the actual theatre are well thought out giving you maximum viewership and line of sight. The seats can get a little uncomfortable at times but is okay for the short time that your in them. The sound and lighting is great no matter where you are seated the acoustics are amazing! This is our third time at the venue and can't wait to return!

It is a cultural icon of Wales and a globally recognized hub for performing arts, hosting a wide range of performances including opera, ballet, theatre, and concerts. The building was opened in two phases. The first phase was completed in 2004, designed by Jonathan Adams, drawing inspiration from Wales' natural landscapes and industrial heritage. The second phase, designed by Tim Green and Keith Vince, was completed in 2009. The exterior harmoniously blends traditional Welsh stone with modern design, featuring an impressive sweeping curved facade clad in copper panels. The inscription on the front of the building reads: 'Creu Gwir Fel Gwydr O Ffwrnais Awen' (Creating Truth Like Glass from the Furnace of Inspiration) and 'In These Stones Horizons Sing.'"

Came here to watch wicked! It’s a very big building with a massive concourse on entering. Few bars and restaurants dotted around. We went to the second floor on entering to use the bar and I got to say it was fantastic. The front of the building slopes down which gives It a very unstable look but it was lovely to sit along the window and have a drink. There was technical issues this night which was fully communicated with regular updates which made this issue less concerning. I was guided to my seat efficiently although I must say the seat were uncomfortable and I have a numb rear after 20 mins but that’s no different anywhere else. These seats tend to be under padded. All in all it was a super night in a lovely building.
