A Fine Art graduate with a high 2:1's pedagogical practice was truly transformed with frightening speed! (5 years or so into the vocation) by Tony Bowers, Paul Cooper and, not to mention, Mary-Jane Drummond. Taught Med modules (INSET) 96-7 attendance only: Nothing wrong with the tutorial support provided by Homerton. My rigorous supplementary teacher training at Cambridge University has definitely expedited my success as an educator in both public and private sectors - specifically work with school exclusions in three pupil referral units. INSET for teachers on permanent contracts, however, is, perhaps, in my professional judgement, better delivered via much shorter courses - as opposed to longer learning journeys. If you become a research student (holding a substantial and demanding teaching post), beyond PGCE success, get it right at the admissions stage:)) I do, nevertheless, recommend Homerton College unreservedly! One final cautionary note: they say Cambridge is one of our best education providers but the cheap, part time, disintegrating, UCIE provision, I sampled, does not compare well with two other better performing Universities on my bilan. I enjoyed staying in Homerton College, University of Cambridge which location is very close to a flat which I lived in 13 years ago with many peaceful and happy memory. It takes 10-15 minutes walk from national rail Cambridge station. I like this college's garden which have various beautiful flowers and special trees. I had a quiet, peaceful time there. I kept enjoying taking photos of this college with them. The room on the third floor in South Court which I stayed in very clean room. I enjoyed nice green garden view from my room. Read moreHomerton is one of the less formal colleges in Cambridge. People are encouraged to enjoy the lawns and the grounds, which include a lovely apple orchard, which is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Along that edge of the college grounds is also a lovely wooded lane which is gorgeous in the autumn when the leaves change colour.
If visiting the college be sure to enjoy lunch at the Buttery or Great Hall, the prices are very reasonable and the Great Hall in particular is a lovely...
