TL;DR Crazy expensive for how the food taste and is presented (thrown in a paper's bag). Also, taxes are not shown on menu but added at the end. Burgers were dry and not tasty, chips cold (probably reheated) and overcooked (and not peeled!!!). Music so loud that I've felt like I was in a backstage of a live concert. Never, ever again.

An evening at the cinema, we just wanted a burger and chips. Right beside the Light cinema, there's one of that "Five guys" I saw in London. I remember I've skipped them in the City because of prices, but I though "well, food will be great if that's the cost!". I couldn't be more wrong. We had one cheese burger big and on small burger, medium and small chips, 250 ml water and a coke. 26 pounds. 2£ for water (250 ml), around 7 pounds for burgers, 10 pounds for chips. I'll say it again: 26 pounds.. And the only good think was the meat. Bacon was hard as stone, thrown into a paper bag with literally one kilogram of overcooked, mostly cold chips - see picture. Both the burger were of the same size (remember, one was supposed to be "big"). Basically the food was looking old and cold. What was really disturbing was the burger's price, you can have a far better hamburger, well presented and more tasty in almost any Cambridge's pub for half of that price. Also, but this is not their fault, since there's a game center for young guys near, we were surrounded by screaming boys, some of them jumping on tables. About this, the stuff didn't say anything. An experience I will never, ever,...

This review isn't about the food, it's about one small action one of the staff took.

I was with a group of friends and we had all gone to a table to wait for our food to be called. After a short amount of time I decided to go up to the bar area to wait for my order number to be called (I get worried about servers having to shout out people's names or order number repeatedly because that person isn't listening or paying attention).

About 30 seconds after I arrive at the bar one of the chefs checks in with me, noting that I had been waiting for my food for a while. It hadn't been that long and I had been stood in plain view waiting for less than a minute, but this chef asked me if I was okay and what my order number was. He checked back in with me again not long after to say it was on it's way.

What was extra-mile customer service about this was that he didn't even do this is a rushed, panicky way. It was calm, considerate and friendly. It was like someone at a family gathering making sure that I'd gotten enough to eat, if you know what I mean.

This small courtesy to a customer who wasn't even worried about where her food was at really stuck with me, this happened 3 days ago.

Please read this review to your team so that whoever it was that served me (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name!) gets my thanks.

Also, Five Guys food is just the best after an evening of...

Incredible levels of customer service and product quality! I visited Five Guys at Cambridge Leisure Park on 3rd January, 2025, at around 11.55 AM. My experience was an overwhelmingly positive one.

This location is extremely well managed, from its very good levels of customer service, to its efficient operation, high product quality & store cleanliness. You will not find a better Five Guys location in Cambridge, maybe even this side of England.

I paid with a gift card for my transaction and it was seamless and quick. The wait was not too long for my food, and the manager was extremely polite, friendly, and engaging not just to myself, but I observed him consistently doing this with every customer and person whom he interacted with whilst waiting for my order.

When I was told, I'd have to wait a little longer for my food to be just perfect. This was offset by the Manager offering me a complementary drink. This was highly appreciated.

I took my food home to eat, my burger and fries were cooked to perfection and of a really high quality. I don't usually leave reviews, but in this case I wanted to.I am really impressed with my experience, and will be back.

Head office should look to this place to set there industry standard, because they're doing something...

Having heard so many people rave about Five Guys, I decided to give it a go as a birthday treat. I can honestly say I cannot see what the fuss is about - everyone says it's the best burger you'll ever have but I've had just as good from a roadside van for a heck of a lot less. My burger alone cost £6.50, before I added fries and a drink . Now I know that naivety played a big part here - if you go as a family of four, you do not need to order four fries, but nobody had said this before and regular fries cost £4.50. For a family of four to go out and have two burger and chips, a veggie sandwich and chips and a hot dog and chips, with drinks, cost £50. FIFTY QUID! If I'd gone to a pub or a restaurant I wouldn't have batted an eyelid for that, but to have an okay burger wrapped in tinfoil handed to me in a brown paper bag, that's more than a little expensive. The burger was nice, the "hand cut" chips were nice, but the price destroyed the whole experience. I would have been much happier with a Maccie D's for twenty quid for a family of four.

This is probably my 10th time coming to this specific location over the past 6 months. My experiences improves everytime I come to this establishment. The employees are crazy friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The food is always excellent. Being from America I can say this is exactly like home. I travel over an hour to come here and its completely worth it. It's kind of pricey but it's to be expected with good quality food and great service. They have a clean eating area and the bathrooms are always up to par. They also have the soda machine with over 100+ different combinations you can make! (They have my favourite: Dr.Pepper!) I highly recommend this place for good food friendly, fast service consistently thru every visit! ** forgot to mention how large the portions are!! You only need a regular sized fry for two people. Fries are made to order and over filled! The burgers are large as well! :)
