Hednesford Park — Attraction in Cannock Chase

Park is attractive, clean and well maintained.

Paths are broad and smooth, no access issues for a wheelchair, pushchair, pram or bicycle.

Main path also forms a jogging/running route with marked distances. Free outdoor exercise equipment is located at various points around the track.

Excellent facilities including football pitches, bowls green, extensive childrens play park with accessible equipment, tennis courts, toilets, cafe, parkour course, water bottle refill point, bins, benches, skate park and car park.

One section of the main path is sometimes slightly flooded by a stream but it is not deep enough to be a problem.

Close to local amenities including Tesco and aldi supermarkets and bus stops very close by.

Love it at Hednesford park. Free tennis courts, skate park, basket ball court. Field for football, picnics and there are often events held here like free yoga, markets etc. Lovely walks around the fabulous trees. The park is always a winner for the children too. It was a shame the pavilion cafe wasn't open this October half term as I'd promised my little one a treat from there. There is a toilet but its only one and used well but tesco, Costa etc is only a few...

A lovely park with some good sensory equipment and low level roundabout suitable for wheelchair users. However I wish they had fenced off the play area from the hedged play field and surrounding path. For our son who doesn't understand the dangers of running off it isn't easy to keep him on the play area as there is no defined boundary. The equipment is good quality and inviting.
