Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

I travel quite a bit and regularly use Tesco Cafes. I was disappointed with this one. The staff were rude and the food was greasy. I sat at a table whilst my wife was in the queue. A female staff member shouted across to another saying, "Can you ask that man to move", pointing at me. The second female member of staff came over to me and said, "you can't reserve tables". I said, my wife is in the queue. She said, "Well there are other people waiting for tables". The reality was, my wife was first in the queue so no one was waiting for a table. There were several empty tables available albeit with dirty plates still on them. There was no need for the interaction. Particularly shouted across the cafe. I use this cafe regularly. I always ask for extra butter for health reasons when eating toast. It’s very hit and miss sometimes I get the extra butter most times I don’t and have to ask for it. Today it happened again. The waitress brought my order to the table named Kay, I asked for the extra butter. She informed me I had to pay for it. I said I ordered it at the till. She looked at my receipt and said NO you haven’t paid for extra butter. I said I will gladly pay as I already thought I had. She walked off, a few minutes later I realised she had no intention of sorting the issue as she didn’t come back. I had to go up to the counter and ask for some. Yes it is in a supermarket but it more pleasant than many high class restaurants I have been in. The staff are cheerful, friendly and eager to please. Food is well prepared & good value.
