Ordered a few times mainly for the shakes, the cakes are a let down you may aswel buy 1 from asda or Iceland, the cheesecake you have to let defrost before you can even eat it, custard portions are not worth the extra price either get a tin for half the price and 6 times the amount, however food was still good, but tonight topped it off, had to re login my account and enter details, fair enough not these fault that's the app, however the 2nd time in 12 months its printed off my billing address instead of delivery address as I'm staying at a friend's house/pet sitting, driver phoned which is when I knew about the address print wrong, he was fine about it however 5 mins later the owner phoned giving me a gob full and attitude that stunk worse than a stroppy teenager having there social media taken away (I say this as its much more friendly than I would like to say) now I continued to talk normally and explained this has happened before with another place, then he got worse demanding that I phone them next time to make sure, I'm not being funny but I wouldn't order online if I wanted to call I haven't been well so I didn't want to talk unless necessary, I said surely you can contact the app and tell them this has happened, no calling me names and stinking more attitude and frankly abuse, will not order again not when this was an...
Read moreWe ordered at 18:20 food only arrived at 19:40 - this was after a phone call to find out where it was, only to be answered by a very rude man who told my husband off for ordering a Rubicon passionfruit on the meal option (+25p) fee. Told us we shouldnt have ordered it, and he shouldn’t really give it us because Chase eats have priced it wrong. Should be (+50p) supplemental fee, wasn’t our fault, don't chastise customers for something we know nothing about, we just wanted a drink. Only after ringing did he release the food, just waited for us to call so he could tell us off. I had a cheese burger with caramelised onions, it tasted like something out of a cheap burger van, cold, greasy, thin burger, small slice of cheap plastic cheese and vinegar tasting onions tasted more like pickled onions than caramelised. Husband and daughters hotdogs came hot (which was great, clearly fresh) but unfortunately also burger van quality. Milkshakes were nice and thick, really good. We only tried on recommendation but was sorely disappointed, was not worth the £30 or the 1 hour 20 minute wait. If we hadn’t waited so long i would have told my husband to take the food back and...
Read moreA very odd burger joint, in a very odd town.
A familiar ‘American Diner’ setting, serving burgers, hot dogs and wraps. Both lads working were extremely welcoming and friendly. Seated at a table that was extremely rocky and wobbly, normally not one to be bothered, but this was excessive. Thankfully a table got cleared up, and I was moved to a table that at least had some cardboard under the legs.
Other than that the place was clean enough. But there’s was something ineffably off about the atmosphere throughout.
I ordered a ‘Grand Canyon’ burger, and it came out quickly. As I was about to start eating one of the staff bought over some dry ice, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Some people might appreciate this touch of ‘flash’ but honestly just felt a bit unnecessary for what was other wise a completely normal chicken burger.
The burger was good. Nothing to write home about, but nice and served with a decent portion of fries.
Honestly, If like me you’re struggling to find a place to eat in the area. Burgerville does nicely…. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t make the...
