Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

Went to costa in hednesford this morning, approached the front of the shop and put my mask on. I noticed no one was waiting outside so I went in and joined the queue after hand sanitising my hands. After waiting a couple of minutes a member of staff came up to me and started telling me off saying that there was a queue outside and told me that I can’t just jump queue and that I need to go outside and Abide by the ‘2 meter rule’ (which I was!). So I was marched outside where there was 1 person waiting I told the lady that when I arrived there was no one outside and that I did check but she continued to complain and then walked away. The guy waiting outside kindly said I could go before him as he had just arrived. When I was finally allowed to go back inside I joined the inside queue again and ordered my drink to go with a toastie to sit in. I waiting to the side after ordering and paying making sure to leave plenty of room. When my drink was ready with a small pot of milk it wasn’t on a tray so took the drink and pot of milk to my table and walked back to the waiting area for my toastie. (The next person was ordering so I was the only one waiting in that area at the time. I noticed up to 3 people can wait in that area) This is where the same lady who marched me outside approached me again and asked if I was okay. To which I replied ‘yes thank you I’m just waiting for my toastie’. I was then rudely told ‘go sit down I’ll bring it to you’. I found the lady very rude and disrespectful. Went in this week at 17.30 and when the staff make you feel like you are a burden to them!! It's not a very welcoming atmosphere to be in!!! No hello, the team member grunted his words when he eventually spoke, no communication what soever, no customer service skills, I asked if they did BLC, which he said Yeh & on both orders he didn't apply it. The drinks were okay, food okay but again no communication, they were just left on the side for us to collect 2 Very miserable staff members and the place was very untidy a lot of mess everywhere, especially by the food prep area If I was a mystery shopper, it would have been a Big 0 I've used this costa in the past, would I return?...

I visited today at about 1500hrs. I ordered a flat white coffee and a toasted tea cake. The coffee was gr8 as always. However whilst eating my tea cake, I was shocked to begin chewing a small piece ( 10mm x 10mm) of thin plastic. On examine the item I saw it was clearly a piece of plastic! I pointed it out to a member of staff who ,like me, were horrified! The money for the tea cake was refunded but felt it should be more.
