Visited a couple of weeks ago. Some machines not working properly as a few of their customers violently hit the machines in temper. When complained about this was told, dont worry they are fixed every week. When pointed out that this rough treatment was in fact quite disturbing to those sitting near to the culprit, was advised that nothing could be done about it as 'Mac' the owner allowed it to go on as he's only interested in the money those players are losing. Asked the owner to contact me by phone in order to express my displeasure, and still awaiting the phone call. One assistant initially refused to pass on my request as he thought that my complaint was something about nothing.

Conclusion, if you enjoy sitting next to people hammering slot machines this is the place to go, if you do not enjoy that experience, there are other casinos in Cardiff which do not allow or encourage this...

There is a nostalgic feel to this place , I was expecting a modern operation judging the outside but its very old fashioned inside

Very very quiet when I visited around 7pm , several blackjack tables open though ,

It can be a bit of a monotonous game to play 1 v 1 so sometimes i get a bit of banter going with the dealers but the ones I was playing against were very serious.

The cards were taking us around in circles so I took a break to see what else was going on but not much unfortunately

One staff member assured me it does get busier

I left down around 80 quid as the atmosphere just wasn't warranting further "investment"

Probably would return in the future but...

Good set up, friendly staff and enjoy the poker there :) servers always available.

Usually did well at rainbow but now have to go across the bridge for a game. See a lot of there usual regs there, but you will be made to feel welcome and there will be lots of banter and there is certainly some characters that will make you smile 😃

So pop on over to Les Croups, and dip your toes in Welsh waters 💧 in a friendly well run poker club.

Also to note, haven't tried yet but there is a Chinese next door, that will deliver food to your table, and that seems very popular 😀
