I very rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly a bit baffling.
Placed an order for collection via the Subway app, turned up slightly after my collection time giving them more than 20 minutes to prep my order of two subs. When I walked in, I could see it was busy. Fair enough. I asked politely at the side of the counter, if the order was ready. The cashier confirmed it hadn’t been made yet. She checked with one of the 4 other staff and confirmed there were two other orders to be made then mine would be ready. The member of staff preparing the orders shouted across that it would be 5-10 minutes, the cashier said she thought it would be quicker than that. Great. No problem with me because I could see it was busy.
So I stood and waited. And waited. And waited… 20 minutes passed with nothing more than a “it’s almost ready.” I watched about 10-15 other orders made ahead of mine. I asked the cashier, who was now serving, what had happened to my order before the bag was placed down in front of me. I explained if they’d just told me originally it was going to be 20 minutes, then it wouldn’t have been a problem. The response? Complain online. No offer of goodwill in store, which would’ve been nice.
The lady who then originally told me it would be “5-10 minutes” then appears, very passively aggressively telling me “I’m not a machine.” Thinking she’d just misunderstood, I explained that I could see it was busy and I didn’t mind waiting, but she’s the one who told me it’d be done in 5-10 minutes and that I just would’ve appreciated them being honest. She then continued on with loudly claiming she wasn’t a machine and to complain online.
I wasn’t the one who made any of the timescales so it’s honestly a bit weird and baffling that she’d try and make out that I was the problem for the store not being able to prioritise orders already paid for and sticking to their own timescales they’ve set.
Then I checked here and saw the comments about the attitude of staff members and it made sense. Such a weird working atmosphere...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews. I know full well what it's like to work in customer and food service, but in this case, I'm so disappointed I felt it would be worth leaving a review here.
I decided to go back to my old favourite, Subway, to cheer me up a bit today. I ordered quite a bit, including a meal deal, a garlic slice, a drink, some Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and some garlic cheese bites.
The delivery was very quick, but they could have taken their time a bit more. Because the ice cream I ordered was missing, and the cheese bites had been transmogrified into Chipotle bites.
I tried leaving feedback, but of course, Uber Eats is very limited as to how you can leave feedback. So I tried calling the store.
I wouldn't bother if anyone is reading this and considering calling the store themselves. Maybe give it a try if you want to hear how ridiculous of an experience calling the store is.
It goes through to an automated voice saying that there is a BT blocking service on the line. It makes you say your name, and then it allows you to waste approximately two minutes of your life twiddling your thumbs as it rings. Then the automated voice comes back to tell you to "Please, hang up. Please, hang up."
If you don't hang up, it terminates the call anyway.
Why?
It seems like avoidance, and in my case, it's worked, as this is honestly where I give up myself. But why the avoidance of customer feedback? This isn't MI5. It's a Subway in a business park.
I'm baffled. Are you guys scared of your own customers' voices? I promise I won't bite. Much. I'm still a bit...
Read moreWatch what they putting in their sub, Firstly I asked one line of sauce on my cheese Toastie and guy said he cant, they make their own rules, he said we have to follow the rules that no sauce whichg was for me not a good customer service, then he started making my footlong sub where he was putting less salads as per the standard, only 4 cucumber,4 tomatoes but as per rules it should be 6 each , so I asked him where are your rules now, I also asked him do you think it is fair that I am paying full price for a footlong sub and you not even giving customer what it should be and he said you can complaint I dnt care. I think their manager should teach them that one line of sauce does not make any difference or atleast give customer what they deserve, charging full amount and providing less is unfair practice. They should apologies for being rude and dishonest, because people loose confidence with...
