Surplus Stock Shop — Attraction in Carlisle

We have recently bought furniture on two separate occasions from this store. Good variety of chairs, sofas, ottomans/footstools, headboards and mattresses. They have a selection of drawers/TV stands/console tables that have transit marks or other damage with a heavy discount (TV stand we got had £300 knocked off what it would cost at oak furniture land with minimal damage). They also stock things like cushions, draught excluders, bean bags, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very reasonable delivery fees. The stock changes often here so if you see something you like you have to snap it up quickly! They sometimes have multiple of the same item in stock but some of them are one offs. They will hold something for a couple of hours for you if you ask nicely and need to measure up the space in your house or need to check with your family...

This place has good value for money it's no frills attitude helps with prices that are hard to believe. The shop is starting to show its age and could do with a good clean and a bit of sort out it looks like 3peice suites are moved along for the new ones to fit in and I could hardly get around in my wheelchair but I could see everything from the one passageway through the store. What you see is what you get there is no waiting 6 weeks here you can take your purchased goods with you if you like or they will deliver it to you. After being recommended to go here by several other people. I went in with my 2 boys. Who at the time were being very good. It was absolutely freezing inside, colder than outside. Dark and had a lot of stock piled up dangerously that needed working. The man that worked there was talking on the phone. And didn't even acknowledge me despite the fact that I was his only customer. When we left the shop, my eldest son (7) said: it was creepy in there. He wasn't wrong. I did not feel comfortable at all. The items seemed reasonably priced....
