Abrupt end to a nice night as the fancy 'Duty Leader' he called himself 'Mike or Mark', big tall blonde kid just came over and stuck his fingers in all our FULL pints and cleared the table. We had spent most our evening there and a lot of money on food and drink so we could atleast expect abit of respect from the hospitality then his uncalled for rude attitude expecting us just to leave instantly was just uncalled for especially and the way he just ignored our exclamations in response to his actions at my colleague who simply wanted to just finish his drink in peace before we left, we were causing no harm or bother. The least we could've been offered was to be able to have our drinks taken outside in a plastic glass. If you want to review our actions on any CCTV coverage covering table 318 (I think - directly opposite the bar) at midnight on the 21st into 22nd July 2020, you can see we caused no problems what so ever and were a compliant formally dressed party.
If this is how your policy is for staff to treat loyal customers at closing time may I suggest not letting you serve drinks on the final bell at midnight and expect us to clear out by 10past midnight.
The lease we could've had was a nicer costumer friendly attitude to be moved onwards out the venue, and even the option to have our drinks put into plastic containers to take outside so you could close up, not suddenly having his fingers suddenly stuck into our full drinks followed by a mouthful of abuse. Plus with Covid19 this did not leave a good impression for sanitary standards. So many better ways he could've gone about this I'm sorry but he ruined what was frankly a very nice evening at the...
Read moreWent in here for my hen night (23rd April) first point of call,I got my drink and we all got a table but I put my drink down to help my mother who was on crutches to sit down and when I turned my back the waitress had to my drink away (a full glass) so I shouted on her and she said the glasses were empty n I wouldn't get another drink, I wanted to speak to manager but she never came back with him she was very rude and the other girl that was with her backed her up even tho she wasn't even there to see the glass. I asked for someone to see CCTV too but she just shrugged her shoulders and said nothing could be done about it,I said excuse me but I've just paid £4.50 for a drink ( a double) I'm not wasting my money!!!! In the end I got the assistant manager I told him what happened n I wanted him to have a look at CCTV he went away n came back and asked me what the drink was,I told him n o got a replacement. But I won't be back due to the rude glass collector's(the girls). Just very rude and it was uncalled for. GET SOME MANNERS!!! GOES...
Read moreAs a very long standing and regular customer going back about 18 years now, the place has changed so much with an ever growing city. Once upon a time it was a nice place to have a few drinks and a bite to eat, thats not to say that the quality of the food, drink and service isnt just as good. But over the last couple of years especially, its virtually rammed every single day of the week, and trying to go on a weekend, forget it, place is crawling, and now that they've removed the booths at the elevated seating area, it only compounds the issue, it feels even more cramped and even less seating available now. It's sad to see and unfortunately I have since stopped going. I dont know if the place will ever change, I dont suppose it can, its just the way of the world now, everyone wants a cheap and cheerful place to go, but until it does, I dont...
