We visited as a group of 6 adults for a birthday present on a Saturday afternoon. We had booked The Old Testament game which our host Emily laid the groundwork on.
I've never done an escape room before but I had a general idea of what to expect.
You'll need to be critical, literal, poetic, and thorough in your observation if you are to be able to complete the challenge in the alloted hour.
Unfortunately we were a few minutes short of solving the puzzle but we had a very enjoyable time regardless. 3 clues are available if the participants come to a unanimous decision. However, if there is a birthday celebration taking place then you may have a complimentary clue taking you up to 4.
Although we didn't complete the challenge in time we had a great time together and it is somewhere I recommend for a fun experience to work as a team.
EDIT, my mistake I made a Mandela Effect error and misremembered the name, it is The Last...
Read moreFinding this place is not easy, especially as there is no signage indicating this place actually exists. If it wasn’t for one of my friends who’d already been to this venue before I would have been phoning them for directions. Another gripe is that we rang the doorbell twice with no answer. Eventually I decided to push the door & it opened 🤣 (Door entrance is based under metal fire escape steps.)
My team participated in ‘The Governor’. The story & room itself is very interesting & very well thought out & I can say that the whole team throughly enjoyed it, even though we did fail to get out. Make sure you do purchase the blindfolds as it definitely does add to the experience.
Our games master made no attempt to let us know how we should have finished the room, even though one of my other team mates did ask. Other escape room venues usually fill you in on this info at the end, so improvement is also needed here.

My mum and I stumbled across this escape rooms after a spa day in the local area. We were absolutely blown away with how much fun the escape rooms were at Chelmsford (we’ve done quite a few at different sites over the years but this one was our favourite).
We did the Governor and it didn’t disappoint at all. We loved it so much we even did a second one recommended by the brilliant staff on site.
The 3 members of the team we had the pleasure of dealing with were: Charlie, Scotty and Luke. They were so accommodating and fun to deal with. They are AMAZING at their jobs and made our experience unforgettable.
Thank you so much to you guys, you made our day. We had so much fun we’ve rebooked to return this weekend with some more family and friends to enjoy the same experience. See you soon and a huge thank you again for an...
