I wasn't lucky (or patient) enough to eat here so my review is not related to the taste (I bet it is awesome). But, I think the process until it takes you to the table is also part of the experience. I am from London and having short visits to Chelmsford occasionally. First, tried to eat at Moto Pizza during last summer but I was told at the door that it was a 1h waiting queue so I just didn't want to wait that long which was fair. Then last week I was at Chelmsford again and this time I really wanted to have a chance to eat there before getting back to London. Then I showed up at the restaurant around 3pm and asked the waitress how busy it would be around 5:30pm the same say as I was planning to come around that time and go back to London after. She was very nice and friendly replying that there would be some crowd but it wouldn't be a problem to be seated around that time shortly being one person. Then when I finished my stuff, and I went to the restaurant but this time a different lady told me there is a waiting queue of 1h15m. Then I said I am coming from London can I be seated somewhere small she said that I have to wait for 1h15m for that. I was quite shocked to hear that because there were empty tables and I was quite fine to sit on a small table or bar being only one person. And the funny part is that there were no people outside waiting in the queue. Probably they just checked in the queue and spending time somewhere. If I was told that I should come there and get my name written down for the queue I would just stop by and continue my stuff until 5:30pm. And the reservation system is not working for People less than 4 which causes an absolute waste of time and efficiency I think. I can understand that maybe the restaurant just doesn't want customers with less than 4 people but it should have been told accordingly when I was...
Read moreI've visited Moto twice now and both times I've really enjoyed my experience, the only problem is it's popularity! Even then though the service is well organised, we arrived wanting a table of 3 for an early saturday dinner and were told it was a half hour wait, they took our phone number which meant we could go and grab a coffee rather than just hanging around and we were given phone updates which was just super efficient and I love the concept. Upon arriving back we were given an explanation of the bottomless pizza and then the onslaught of food started! The pizza is really nice quality, especially for a bottomless place. The ingredients are fresh, the pizza is served piping hot out the wood fired oven, the mix of toppings is fun and inspired. I'm a vegetarian and usually I avoid bottomless food places but Moto even went out their way to ensure I had great veggie options, a few times a server would ask me what toppings I enjoyed and ensured that the veggie options came to me first! The pizzas I had were super interesting and unique and I really appreciated the extra care to include my dietary needs to make the costs worth it. The service was top notch from every single person there too. I would highly recommend Moto and I will definitely be back in the future for more...
Read moreThe food was absolutely beautiful and also served in such a creative way. You get a plate and offered every choice of pizza you could Imagine. Even if they don't bring g one round you like, they will bend over backwards to make sure you get food you are happy with and more to your taste. They put together a seafood based pizza for my mum and she loved it and other diners did too. Their system for service is second to none. Their food and waste management is second to none. Their service is so friendly, welcoming and just amazing. I'm dairy free, initially I dreaded it because of obvious worries. Was I wrong or what! Their choices for vegan, gluten, dairy free ect. Absolutely amazing! They're welcoming for all dietary requirements. We had to wait for our table for a few minutes, we went in the pub next door. They waited overheard us and he came in the pub after us to tell us our table was ready. That is service with a capital S. The owner is also an amazing lady. She's so welcoming and treats all customers like friends. That's what I felt. I truly had the best pizza experience of my life in here and I'm coming back again for more. I cannot say enough good about this place. EVERYBODY! GET YOURSELVES DOWN HERE. YOU'RE...
