Bell Meadow Park — Attraction in Chelmsford

Modernised park, clean, green walkways, cycle paths with refreshing views over the river within an ever changing city.

The park is an access thoroughfare between shops, pubs, restaurants, river and another central larger park, leading to more greenways or even the newly established entrance to Essex County Cricket Club. Disabled parking adjacent to the park and a multi-storey car park.

Five stars beckons if there were closer public toilets but sadly none except for a walk 200 to 300m approx by the side of the Council HQ...

The local council have done a great job on improving the look of this little gem in the centre of town. The area around the War Memorial has been completed very sensitively and the shrub soldier looks great. Clear paths to split bikes from pedestrians is a great idea. The lighting looks promising, but not been dark enough to see it in action. Good idea to put blocks in to stop...
