Untasty cocktails and rude security! My two friends (both girls) and I went outside to smoke on the left side of the building. The security saw us and told us that we needed to go back inside and use another exit at the back of the building to smoke. However, on the right side of the building, there were already people smoking, which confused us. We wondered why we weren't allowed to smoke there as well. My friend had already managed to light her cigarette, so we decided to go to the bridge, which is a public place where smoking is allowed.
We were still confused as to why people were smoking outside the building, but we were told to go around to the back using a different exit. The big surprise came when we tried to re-enter the building, and the security refused to let us in because they didn't like the fact that we hadn't smoked where they told us to. Meanwhile, our friends inside had just ordered new drinks, but the security responded that they didn't care.
So, we went to a nearby club. As we were sitting across from it, smoking and getting ready to go in, we noticed that the security guard who had refused to let us back into the previous place (he had left his post) came over and spoke to the security of the new club. When we tried to enter, the security at the new club wouldn't let us in either! We were shocked that this was actually happening. The security guard from Slug & Lettuce was happy and smiling at us.
This is definitely racism because I swear, we were a...
Read moreSadly was not very impressed at all. I arrived with a friend and we were told there was a 45 minute wait. We thought that would be fine as we could have a catch up while we waited, so our order was taken upstairs at the counter and we sat down nearby. An hour and 20 minutes later we asked where our food was. We were told it had been taken downstairs by accident and because nobody had claimed it, the staff had eaten it. That response in itself was shocking, but then immediately the chef came out, looked at us, and said "oh god, we ate their fu*king food" to the waitress. Just, no. We got 2 drinks on the house as an apology and 20 minutes later our food arrived, minus the chips. We complained and were told they'd be out soon. We finished our meals and waited another 20 minutes (so all in all we'd been there for 2 hours now) and at that point we finally gave up. I complained at the counter again and we left. It was a shame as the food I did have I enjoyed, but the service and attitude was abysmal. I also complained online and was completely ignored. There are far nicer places nearby and I highly recommend any of those over the Slug...
Read moreShocking! We made a reservation for mother's day for my mum, grandmother, two sisters and 4 year old nephew. When we arrived they informed us the power in the kitchen had gone but it may come back on soon. They showed us to our table and left. We waited and waited for 40 minutes with no one coming over to tell us what was going on or even take our drinks order. Eventually I decided to go to the bar to order drinks and see what was going on with the kitchen. I was greeted with no customer care or manners as my drinks order was taken and I was informed bluntly that there would be no power in the kitchen for the rest of the day with no explanation. The drinks were brought over to the table after another 20 minute wait, they were wrong and served with so much attitude , when we asked if we would have any sort of apology for the inconvenience the servers reply was 'that's not my problem'. I requested to speak to a manager and no one came to speak to me about this matter. I will not be returning. Cannot believe how rude everyone was. Thank you for ruining...
