This park is so well maintained and caters for everyone. Dog walkers can let dogs off the lead or exercise them in a fenced off area at the top of the park. Families can play in the grass central area and they have bands playing on a Sunday throughout summer. The playground area is clean and kept in fantastic order and there is a splash park for little ones which is great in the summer. There are clean toilet facilities and an outdoor cafe serving a variety of items and tea and coffee in proper mugs. There are courts and a bowling green too. There is a small car park for the park which can get busy, but there are no yellow lines down Malmesbury Road by the two other gates. Wishes for the future....1) would be great for it to be open later in winter.....it is hard to find somewhere you feel safe to walk dogs in the dark and I am sure so any people would use it/pay a small fee to access via 1 gate in the evenings in winter so they could let their dogs off the lead. 2) Shelters by the splash pad to protect little ones from the sun as there is no shade there at all 3) Sheltered seating for the cafe...people visit the park in all weathers and would happily sit outside in the rain with a cup of tea if there was some...

Excellent, beautifully kept medium sized park with clean toilets, well maintained seating, playpark and an all important (remarkably well priced) snack and coffee hut.
The playpark is advertised as upto 12 years old but I very much doubt it would hold the attention of anyone at the older/taller end of that age. The play equipment is very well maintained and provides adequate challenge for children to around 10. The splash pad we didn't try out as it's off for autumn/winter but it again looked clean and well maintained albeit quite small - not clear how long the refill times are which obviously affects play value.
The sensory garden was well looked after although would benefit from some plant ID boards so you can tell what's there (and maybe the benefits of the aromatics).
Our kids loved the bandstand and using it as a stage, though we had to play only on the steps upto it as we weren't able to get in - security against misuse of the covered area I suppose though maybe this could be locked out of hours rather than all the time not in use.
All in all a great park that we'll be back to...

Has a small food/drink shack with picnic benches and umbrellas to give you some shade. Accessible public toilets located nearby.
A park with enough for all ages. Roundabout, swings, see saw, climbing frames, slides and much more. To the side of that there is a splash pad, subject to being opened only in certain times of the year. It's small but still good fun!
Handful of tennis courts are also situated at John Coles Park. Appear to kept in good condition overall.
Last is the park itself which is ideal for a causal stroll, dog walking or to just peacefully sit within a large open field by yourself, with a partner or a group of friends. Also a great place for a gentle jog. In the centre of the park is a band stand.
If I had to criticise the park, I think the toilets could be refurbished.
Ohh, if you have never been and plan to visit don't use the car park it's usually crammed and awkward to park in, you'd be better parking on a street nearby and walking to it. Just my...
