I love this experience in Edinburgh of having the city at two completely different levels. When you are along the river, it's like you can forget about all the traffic and the stress you may find in the rest of the city. The views from the top of the bridge are magnificent, both sides. It is unavoidable to have to share these views with all the people driving to cross from one side of the city to the other. But that helps to keep the Dean Village miraculously calm and quiet.

A must-visit location away from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, and ideal for families, romantic walks. There aren't many places to sit around starting from Dean Village, unless the other side of the path towards the Leith village side. Definitely worth going around the village, as you would many little picturesque gems around.

Picturesque bridge in the middle of Edinburgh. You can see far away from here on a clear day, see the river estuary, the mountains nearby. A great place to photograph typical houses. You can walk under the bridge, only then you will realise how tall this structure actually is. Great walk along the water of Leith.

Beautiful and historic part of a fabulous city. It's not very flat so be sure to have trainers or walking boots if your on foot. Beautiful scenery, walk bybthe water, over the many bridges and romantic setting all round.

Our tour guide Jamie recommended this walk and I’m so glad I did it! It took only 8 minutes from the Wilde to walk to! Lots of great shops to see along the way!!!!
