A nice chain of Whetherspoons quietly tucked away behind Princes St, a few mins away. Very popular but you can find a seat. My friend and I were in Edinburgh for the Bank Holiday Weekend - Aug 2022 and on Fri we wanted to catch a meal here but as we were in the centre of town, we didn't realise they close at 8pm. However we had breakfast here twice. Once on Sat morning and the other on Sun. The food can't be faulted. Service is quick and easy. Food is reliable and tasty. Prices are very reasonable too. Lots of options for breakfast, from a large traditional to a small plate - they do have breakfast muffins and wraps as well as other options and extras. Toilets are clean and plenty of loo roll. A great place to come to have a sit down meal with good service.

Popped in on my own on a Friday evening about 7.00pm to wait for some friends to arrive (still haven’t got any). It was really busy and had a good mix of people in. Ordered a pint of Paolozzi from the bar and managed to find a vacant table to waste away a half hour people watching. I can’t say anything bad about the AGB as it is what it says, a Wetherspoons! We all know what to expect and that it will have a decent selection of very reasonably priced drinks and food. The table of hen party girls sitting behind me certainly seemed ecstatic when one of their number came back with 3 bottles of Prosecco for under £45. The party was about to start!!

To visit Scotland and to have their traditional breakfast was a thing to me but was very skeptical about it since i was a vegetarian. Surprisingly, places like this restaurant have made it possible with vegan and vegetarian friendly traditional English/Scottish food at decent prices. The Vegan sausage was perfectly cooked and the mushroom was made just right. Although, we ordered a simple breakfast, we could sense that the food out here was great. The staff was courteous too.

Decent spoons. Bit on the pricy side.
