The Knights Vault — Attraction in City of Edinburgh

Me and a friend were up in Edinburgh for my birthday as a little get away for a few days. We stumbled upon this shop in passing and were both so excited to go in (we both love medieval type weaponry.) I also happen to be a HUGE Lord Of The Rings fan so imagine my excitement when I realised they have a whole room in the shop dedicated to just LOTR?! I was like a kid in a sweet shop. I forgot to ask for the lady’s name (I’m so sorry, you were so delightful!) who served us but she had an American accent. I just want to say her customer service was impeccable and she is a huge asset to the store. She had to ask for ID before selling us our daggers we had chosen (everything was done properly and safely. We picked LOTR witch king daggers no less!) and even gave me 10% off as it was my birthday the day before - what a lovely and kind gesture! Me and my friend cannot wait to come back and buy more from this lush store. I’m already eyeing up what I can order from the online store. Sad to see not all of the Lord of the rings collection is on there (Gandalfs staff isn’t on there so looks like I’ll be taking a trip back for that!) 10/10 would recommend visiting this shop. The vibe in the shop was delightful, the layout was easy to view and it was so beautifully presented. We could have spent hours in here just in awe at the collection of merchandise. FLAWLESS Service!! The first time I visited this store I was very impressed with their staff and customer service, we purchased right away and we are thrilled. We really enjoyed the whole store experience, the different swords and knives, and just the general "feel" of the shop. I have now ordered two birthday gifts for my husband and their online customer service was absolutely STELLAR!! I had to pay for my purchase before I left on a month-long trip and requested they hold it until I got back from the trip. Not only did they hold it but they stayed in touch with me the whole way, double checking I was home and if they could ship it, and it arrived SUPER fast and perfectly! Thank you, The Knights Vault, for caring about your customers, your flawless customer service (thank you Charis!), and the quality standards you adhere to! Would really like to give a good review since I purchased from them many times before and had pretty good experience, but today was just a mess - First I got completely ignored, the staff at the counter looked straight through me like I didn‘t exist and helped the taller person in the queue right behind me (well, shorties do tend to get ignored) first. Then when I asked for the item, he grabbed the box straight off from the display and asked if it looks alright, I didn‘t pay much attention as I just wanted what‘s inside the box and said yes. And when I got home to take the swords out of the box, that‘s when I saw that the inside if the box was all moldy.

I know it‘s a tourist spot, but seriously, some basic manner and attention really shouldn‘t be that hard for a small shop. Pretty disappointed by today‘s visit as they do carry some...
