I had a really disappointing experience at Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea. Yesterday, I ordered a large Mango Pomelo Sago, but after paying, the staff told me they didn’t have enough sago and could only make a medium size. I understood it would be troublesome for them to process a refund, so I suggested adding some other toppings to still make it a large. However, they refused. I then agreed to a medium and requested a refund for the price difference. The female staff member clearly told me that the refund would be processed through WeChat, and I accepted that.
But as of this morning, I hadn’t received the refund. I even contacted the store through the WeChat payment platform to report the issue, but still no refund. This afternoon, I went back to the store to resolve the matter. The male store manager claimed that they had tried to refund me yesterday but said I left in a hurry. That’s completely false — I was in the store for quite a while and they never refunded me.
I told him the female staff said the refund would be through WeChat, but he kept making excuses. I insisted on a WeChat refund, yet he insisted on giving me cash instead, and to top it off, he even dropped the coins on the floor. Is this how they do business?
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Their service and problem-solving are irresponsible and...
Read moreI've visited Yi Fang a handful of times since it opened, the shop is in a popular location so can get busy. Be warned as the shop only accepts cash which is strange as almost every shop accepts cards nowadays.Good selection of drinks though and tastes good if in stock.
My main reason for the low score is the handful of times I have been there was no brown sugar ready and sometimes tapioca. I usually go around 1-2pm and the response I got was that they make everything fresh in the morning and it take 2 hours to cook them. Thats the thing I don't understand is, if it needs time to cook then why does the servers not come into the shop earlier. Usually in takeaways, the workers would go in 2 hours in before the shops opens to make the curry or gravy sauce, they don't start making it as the doors open. Needs...
Read moreDo Not Come to this store! The prices are extremely unreasonable, making it the most expensive among milk tea shops of the same standard. Moreover, the part-time student making the milk tea recently has been doing a terrible job. I bought it twice in a row and encountered the same girl each time. Both times, the milk tea tasted watered down, with no flavor at all (I’ve had it before, so I know what the original quality should be). I strongly suspect that this shop is just saving ingredients to save costs.
Additionally, paying by card is very inconvenient, making for a poor...
