“HOT DONUT’s” Made a visit to the Food Festival in George Square gardens Edinburgh to see what food & drinks were available. This is always a place we visit during the Edinburgh festival and normally love it but be warned some of the stalls are actively asking for tips when you pay using a card machine. Why would you pay a minimum of 10% on overpriced drinks when it’s not even table service? And as for the “Hot Donut” stall he pressured my partner into paying £2 on top of £5 cost for 3 small donuts a 40% tip for doing naff all. Watch out there’s some chancers about !

We enjoyed stuffed pittas and falafel from Chick and Pea. We preferred this side of George Square to the Underbelly but only marginally.
