Luckily, it wasn't busy when we visited on new years day. We could access all indoor interactive exhibits/games and displays easily without waiting. There were only about two of them that were not working when we were there which I suppose isn't too bad. There's lots to do and see in various zones; there's tons of hands-on, practical activities which help to explain how stuff works. My 7 year old understood some of what they were trying to teach you, however, my 4 year olds spent most of the time just pressing buttons but still found lots of things that interested them and who knows, they may have actually learnt something. They really enjoyed the building zone which had giant lego sets and a mock-up of a house for them to build/destroy. I was really impressed with the variety of interactive tools/ displays (some you could describe as toys) and some were huge fun and I honestly enjoyed some of the activities and feel I learnt something. By the time we'd finished exploring all the indoor areas it was dark so we hadn't seen any of the outdoor activities. We don't feel short-changed by this and feel it was still good value. For a family of 5 we paid £24 but you get £2 parking back if you take your pay and display ticket stub to the counter when you pay. There's no hot food, only vending machines but we knew this before leaving so made a packed lunch. very glad we went, good value but as mentioned it was nice and quiet so I'm sure it would be a different experience if we went at...

At the Bracknell end of swinley forest, this is and kid/adults activity centre run by Bracknell County Council. The lookout offers and great day out for a special occasion or a haft day of regular fun.

For a fall day you can pay to going to the activity centre that includes a large tower that gives you some very impressive views of swinley forest. The activity centre will at best take up 4 to 5 hours but there is more outside to do.

The outside area has a very good adventure playgrounds with the biggest castle for the kids. Also on the side there is a area in the forest that kids can make dens and gives them a chance to user there brains.

Arr, but the fun does not stop there, you can also pay to go on Go Ape or hire a mountain bike.

The forest is, vested and you can go from Bracknell to Crowthorne, Bagshot or Sandhurst from the woods. A good fast cyclist can get to Crowthorne in about an hour to give you some idea for the size of the forested.

There is a large car park that has the best payment machine I have ever seen. Not only can you pay with a card but they have contactless also. So much easier

The only problem I have with the place is they have taken away there coffee bar and replaced it with a crappie machine. The place was always packed and would have been better if it was twice it's size. I have no idea why they have removed it and now on a cold November day it's hard to say if your freezing your bits off.

If they reopen the coffee bar, I will give this...

A Heaven for Mountain Biking I went to The Look Out Centre for a long weekend with my friends. The journey was to the nearest place for a good walk in the woods. We parked our car in the parking lot and were charged £3.80 for 4 hours. We started our walk after passing the centre, covering almost 14,000 steps in 3 hours. We explored different tracks and visited a picturesque lake, where you can see water lilies on the small ponds next to the larger lake. The entire trip was through an incredible forest, and the lake was breathtaking. The highlight and bold recreation part was the cycling trails. Technical, varied, and well-located trails inside the woods, with lots of hills, make it the perfect place to have an exciting day with your friends and family for group rides filled with adventure and fun. You can find hundreds of e-mountain bikes ripping the trails with joy and happiness. If you have a bike or want to walk for more than 2 hours, you must visit this place. in the end, we had lunch there. I had a pizza with £14 and my partner had a chicken wrap with £6. Both had a very good quality, but I will try the chicken...

The Lookout Discovery Centre is a fantastic destination for families and those with a keen interest in science and nature. Nestled in a beautiful woodland setting, it offers an interactive experience that educates and entertains visitors of all ages. The exhibits are engaging, encouraging hands-on participation to learn about scientific principles in fun and innovative ways. The staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, adding to the overall positive experience. Outside, the surrounding area provides ample opportunity for walks and exploration, making it a great day out. However, the café options are somewhat limited, and during peak times, the center can get quite crowded, which may detract from the experience. Overall, The Lookout Discovery Centre is well worth a visit for a rewarding educational outing.

This place is great, outdoors facilities include a lovely park suitable for all ages, go ape, segways to hire, lovely walking trails through the forest. You can walk for miles through Swinley which also links up with Barossa which is MOD land. There are also fantastic mtb trails all through Swinley and for all levels, blue, red and black trails. There is also bike hire available. Cafe on site and the Lookout Discovery centre which is great for kids, you need to pay but it's not much. Great science experiments and hands on for them, a great fun way to learn. They do toddler themed days in term time and there's always lots going on in the holidays too. Parking can be busy at times and it's pay and display.
