Today, my visit to Starbucks was far from the cozy coffee break I had envisioned. Opting for what seemed like a modest breakfast choice – two coffees, one porridge, one fruit toast, and two portions of egg bites – I was taken aback by the bill. Surprisingly, it exceeded the cost of an English breakfast buffet at a local hotel, which offers a much wider selection and seemingly better value for the money. This price disparity is baffling and frankly unacceptable, especially when considering the cost-effectiveness of other establishments in providing satisfying meals at reasonable prices.
Moreover, I anticipate that some might attribute this to inflation, cost of living adjustments, or global conflicts impacting prices. However, this argument falls flat when observing that other businesses manage to offer more for less, maintaining profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction. It's evident that value for money is severely lacking at Starbucks, based on today’s experience. Such pricing strategies not only question the justification behind these costs but also significantly diminish the appeal of choosing Starbucks for a casual breakfast outing.
Conclusively, I am left with a sour taste, not from the coffee, but from the realization that there are far better options available that prioritize customer satisfaction through value. It's safe to say that my future breakfast ventures will lead me elsewhere, and I encourage others to consider the same. Starbucks, today, you’ve lost a customer who values not just the quality of food but the...
Read moreSome of the staff are loud, unprofessional and obtuse. Others are amazing. I went in to grab a coffee at 07:15am, I was exhausted, I had 3 hours sleep as I had a deadline. The staff member in question knows me only through the coffee shop, she could hear that I was tired and not feeling great, so she proceeded to sarcastically say "oww, so tired". Had I not had better manners, I would have told her were to go and she is lucky I didn't make a formal complaint. I think Starbucks really need to revisit the name policy they have, I feel it creates a level of comfort between staff and customers that can often be overstepped. I appreciate it's a USP and a way for people to feel more comfortable / at ease however, when I'm going in to get a coffee, quite frankly, I just want to be served and I don't want attitude from someone who has no idea who I am or what is going on in my life. I could have had chemo the night before for all she knows. Completely lost my business, will never...
