Well me and my friends went out for a day. To Matlock station. Arrived there at the car park for Sainsbury, time limit so went to the main railway station where you have to pay even a blue badge, then have to walk over the bridge to Sainsbury carpark to enter the other station. I'm have problems walking that distance. Also just missed the train. So knowingly the next stop for the train was Darley Dale, Station. I headed there, which is also signed along the road. Arrived at the car park over the railway crossing on the left. Where it is free parking for the train uses. We arrived and the train was already in the station. I shouted to hold the train crew on the station to hold the train. They did while me and my friends walked one with sticks walked to the train. Paid on the train where a trainee ticket collector came around. He asked how we would pay!!! Card or cash. As his mother had the card machine. We all had a good chat and about preserved railway line. Also talked about other lines to visit. We arrived at the terminal station. Time for a cuppa and a cob or meal. Very tasty also time to eat in or take out. When the locomotive had run round the train, time to go. We all really enjoyed the train ride. Also when there are 2 trains running, they say you have time to enjoy your meal and have a good look round. I and my friends really enjoyed the day and go again. Next time I'll read the time table, also do to Darley Dale, Station again. Also I knew the way but use a sat navigation system. Well worth the train fare. See what you think and...
