Hillworth Park — Attraction in Devizes

Large open park with plenty of seating and lots for children to do. Play area; Tennis, (only tennis, no other sports allowed on the tennis courts); Adventure play equipment like a climbing wall; Exercise equipment, more for children though. Cafe serving tea and coffee; Toasties & sandwiches; Wrapped cookies & oatie bars. One disabled toilet with nappy changing area; Nine regular car parking spaces and two disabled. They did stop taking cash through the pandemic even though it was confirmed that handling money was next to no risk; if you wanted an ice cream or a coffee you, could only pay by contactless. We were finding somewhere to turn around and came across this little gem! My 6 year old loved it as she's tiny and struggles with the bigger climbing equipment. My 2 year old thought it was brilliant!! The gates open inwards so little ones can't just push their way out so it's much safer. We didn't get much of a chance to see the rest but it looked good from where we were. I feel the gym equipment was too close to the little park as my 2 really wanted to play on it but it wasn't really suitable. All in all very pleased to have stumbled...

Love the park, clean, well cared for, great facilities and friendly, community atmosphere too. Always head to the café if its open, good coffee and nice snacks. Parking can be a bit rubbish - we don't live in Devizes and often come to Hillworth specifically, but I've never not been able to park somewhere reasonably close.
