We enjoyed an exellent tour of the brewery today. It was a Christmas present from my daughter. Becky was our tour guide today, she was very knowledgeable explaining every aspect of the brewing process as we moved around. Our group of eighteen was invited to taste some dried hops in their various stages and any questions were easily answered by out host. It was great to see the sign painting section and of course we were all taken with the size of the magnificent Shire horses still being used to deliver beer locally. Then we came to the beer tasting. We were given a generous sample of each beer available. We tasted seven different beers in all, my own personal favourite being the "Old timer" we also enjoyed a very tasty hot pie in the cosy little bar at extra cost. I can highly recommend this tour of the brewery which took a little over two hours. At no time were we rushed to get around. There is also a shop selling lots of merchandise. An amazing experience, I'm tempted...
Read moreLast day but one visiting the Wadworth visitor centre before it closes. Had a great tour around the site with two wonderful guides. The tour lasted about 40 mins but to be honest I could have listened to the guides for hours. Hopefully the new site will start tours soon as I can't wait to see the new brewery. There is a shop opening very soon in the town where you can buy beer and mementoes. They are running beer walks on the town in the mean time, I will hopefully get to go on one. Tried the new Evolution Session IPA from the new Folly Road brewery, it's light, hops rich and with a wonderful citrous aroma, great for a Summer session or just a quick pint Great day made even better...

I did not go there, no reason why just my cousin who is a local said this was the best one. The Welsh Young lady, University student, her father is Indian, who served us was the best waitress I met during my 5 week tour of the UK. She was outstanding. I hope I got that right, her description, for her to be recognised, for her enthusiasm and...
