We went there just as it opened at 12 noon and before the pool opened the view from the cafe lounge was amazed how well kept it was. Only took the one image before people came as photography rightly isn't allowed. But for families it is a fun pool. I hadn't been for several years, but the changing rooms have been upgraded and very well maintained. The pool area for it's age still looks good, the water was very warm and our grandchildren had a fabulous time. There were plenty of lifeguards on duty so very reassuring. We didn't go in the lane pool at the side of it for the serious swimmers but looked inviting. There are plenty of other activities on site here, so check the website for full details.

Decided to go Swimming myself and my two Grandaughters went to the Crystal Leisure Centre in Stourbridge we paid just under 17 pounds for one Adult and Two Children it was for just over 1hr and half they have mixed lockers and changeing rooms and showers so be prepared but also other rooms to use if u prefer went on the Two Slides the Yellow the Large One and the Small Blue One . It was Fun really good lovely afternoon and we all enjoyed it. There is a Cafe but didth get chance to use it there was a wave machine and its fun huge like waves and then the other side there is like a whirlwind swim which u go round in had a great day will go again.

The Crystal Leisure Centre's fun pool features two slides, one which protrudes from the building itself and another smaller one. Waves are set regular intervals, as well as an area called the Rapids, which has always been fun. The changing rooms have room for improvement, as does the exterior of the building, which needs a lick of paint. That said, it's a great swimming pool for all the family, which I have enjoyed for years.

The swimming pool is quite large and good for the kids to enjoy a little swim and slide. However one time when I was there I found myself unable go move in the rapids and waves I had people all around me I couldn't move or yet find my family members it was too busy to move ect... The staff just stand there and and play with there Hair as if it's a fashion show! don't get me started on the changing rooms......nothing but messy and filthy! There was nappies everywhere, urine on the floor and in the showers, Hair on the floor, lipstick marks on the mirrors and walls it really does needs cleaning very poor cleaning service doesn't have no staff for cleaning and doesn't get clean by the looks of it smells too! Long wait on the slides which isn't good if you have young kids. There's quite alot of decent time in the pool however you would have to be careful if your parking into Tesco car park. Staff is rude also. The showers don't even have curtains inside the changing rooms, one good thing I find about this is the lockers you atleast get your money back! It is quite fun if it isnt busy. Please clean the changing rooms and pool often otherwise many people wouldn't go back. I personally wouldn't recommend if you want a mouth full of urine.(There's kiddies in the pool who wee inside...

Our otherwise pretty nice swim was sadly totally ruined by the incredibly loud, siren-like noise they repeatedly put on to remind people with different armbands it's their time to get out. For some reason this went off every 5-10 mins, despite being the last session of the day. It was annoyingly loud for me as an adult, let alone my 4yo, who barely managed 5 mins before it went off the first time. At the 2nd time of going off, barely 5 mins later when my son had just about started to calm, we asked if it would keep going off and whether it was necessary as by that time nobody new was coming in (last session of the day), the lifeguard said they'd been told they had to. I managed to swim a bit longer with my 7yo but my 4yo was having a total meltdown so my wife took him out.

Really sad as the pool is otherwise nice, with a good toddler area and a great pair of slides, so really family friendly, except the frequent horrendous alarm-like sound makes it totally unsuitable for any young kids with moderately sensitive ears. Why they can't just use whistles (which every lifeguard has anyway) like pretty much every other pool does is beyond me. A total waste of £22, and an afternoon as we'd purposefully driven to Stourbridge to find...

The Crystal is such an asset for the people of Stourbridge and beyond. There’s a number of brilliant instructor run classes, a decent gym with fantastic staff as well as all the other many facilities that are on offer, the swimming pools, badminton courts etc etc. All that for £200 a year membership (yes, other deals are available)! I’m fed up of seeing the comments, where people keep banging on about the cleanliness of the place. I’ve been there first thing and it’s clean and I’ve whenever I’ve used the toilets, they’ve been clean too. The footfall there daily is phenomenal so undoubtedly it’s not going to be spotless 24/7, that’s no fault of the handful of staff that are employed to clean it. That’s down to those members of the public who use it, who just can’t be bothered to clean up after themselves or deliberately make a mess for whatever reason. It’s 30 odd years old and is looking a bit tired but it still serves the community well. Hopefully, one day, Dudley council will give it the investment it needs so that the wide range of people that use it and enjoy doing so can continue to do so for many...
