Cineworld is located at Ely leisure just off the A10 at the roundabout leading to Little Downham. As you arrive you enter a huge carpark that has several takeaways each served by the quality carpark and each outlet has several dedicated disabled bays. Cineworld has several disabled bays opposite the entrance. The footpath is smooth with a slight incline leading up from the carpark but nothing too challenging for wheelchair users. There is also two car charging points in the car park but sadly they are in the corner by the swimming baths. Way too for for me to tackle. The cinema itself is staffed by friendly helpful staff and we found them to be happy in their job. Ticket prices are the same as all the other cinemas and reasonable, the food is expensive as one would expect but if you want the entire experience you get what you pay for. The reception is clean and well presented as is the screen rooms as well. We did notice that many of the people entering were struggling to see which row was what, maybe the illuminated alphabetic row indicators needed cleaning as they are walked on all the time. Toilets were all clean and all stocked with the necessary requirements. A good cinema offering everything you need for the complete movie and snack experience without worrying about carpark charges . Highly...
Read moreI like Cineworld Ely a lot; the seats are fantastic, certainly some of the best of any cinema I've been to. The facility is lovely, very clean and fresh, partly owing to it being a new build, but unfortunately that's what fuels my annoyances of the cinema as well. There are no toilets in the lobby, so you have to enter the screens area which is a definite nuisance. The toilets inside are also poorly arranged, with men's and women's at opposite ends of the building, and the soap dispensers, sinks and hand dryers are all in awkward places in relation to each other. The lobby itself has a blinding glittery floor which seems entirely gratuitous to me, and the lobby seems far too large! Kiosks don't seem to occupy enough of the space and other things have been awkwardly wedged in to fill the void. It just seems disappointing and surprising that as a new building more care and consideration wasn't given to the available space and convenient use of it for patrons. None of that by any means ruins a visit; I have been a number of times and would happily go again, and would recommend the...
Read moreI've been to this cinema a few times and it's consistently good. The cinema is new so you would expect it to be nice and we'll presented. There is plenty of parking and a level access with no stairs. The foyer is nice and it's easy to buy or pick up tickets. There is still the frustrating Cineworld wiring system of picking a que and hoping it moves bit staff were quick and helpful. The toilets (men's) weren't that well signposted from the main corridor but not hard to find. They were clean but there always seems to be one thing out of use in there. The popcorn was amazing (better than normal). The screen was nice and the picture and sound quality good and it was easy to see. We picked a row with loads of leg room so I'm not sure what the normal seats were like. The seats weren't very wide so not much arm room.. overall not bad, and so much better than the Leicester Square Cineworld I visited previously. I would come back here if it...
