Axminster Heritage Centre — Attraction in East Devon

Hidden away next to the Conservative Club, this is a great addition to Axminster. For a small museum, they pack a lot in; starting with the geology of the coastline, you move onto the civil war, farming of old and then Axminster Carpets and its history. Fascinating history of Axminster over 1000's of years. The Industrial Revolution section is particularly interesting. A few of the interactive exhibits could do with repair.
